I stayed at Auberge Le Poulagou for a week. It is an average hostel to stay in and I guess it is somewhat acceptable enough for a hostel. I moved to another hostel I discovered thereafter known as Auberge Le Palace, which has rooms of better quality and for the same price as Le Poulagou. Pros: 1. It is relatively... More

For more than 5 years, the Poulagou is my favorite choice when staying in Dakar. It's an oasis in the lively Yoff Tonghor neighbourhood: clean, safe and relaxed. Fine rooms situated around a beautiful green garden and located nearby the airport. A perfect base to visit the various beaches, bars and restaurants in the neighbourhoods of Yoff, Ngor and Almadies.... More

Ask for what you want and you will get it if its possible. Mister Halil the Barkeeper has all the informations you need: Good Restaurants to eat , nice Diskotheks and Bars , where to start your next tripp and last but not least the pickupservice 24hours from the airport. Its me and my niece favorite place to stay in... More

We turned up here on the hope that there was a spare room and how glad we were that there was! We needed somewhere cheap but comfortable near the airport. Auberge Le poulagou had all of these things and more! Fantastic friendly service from the staff, spotless room, very affordable, wifi and a place to leave our luggage after checkout... More

Stay here for comfortable accommodation, good humored assistance, and full sensory immersion into the fish market and airport area of Yoff/Dakar, Senegal. Proprietor Luke ,his Senegalese wife, and their staff, provide answers in at least 5 languages including English. Their on site bar/restaurant provides laughter, good food and drink, and 5 star birds- eye views of fishermen putting to and returning from... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in La Poulagou for several nights. We were welcomed by Chalil, a friendly young man that greets you by your name when ever you arrive. He's the receptionist, bartender, ... maybe even the owner. Because we left for Saint-Louis after the first night, but planned to come back after 4 days, we asked if we... More

We arrived at 3am on a delayed flight to be welcomed warmly by the manager who speaks french and english. The auberge is basic but very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and thorough. The rooms are not air conditioned but were equipped with fans. The windows are fitted with insect mesh and there are hooks for mosquito... More

This hotel is great. Clean, with friendly people running it. I had a terrible experience on the ferry from casamance and arriving at Le Poulagou made me feel like I could finally take a breath and have some peace. It is nice to walk on the beach in Yoff, very little hassle, wonderful boats and nice people. Also, Le Poulagou... More
