Decent value for money at this budget hotel. Pros: -Location: right in the heart of town - Wifi: quite strong - Staff: helpful in organizing transport etc. -Restaurant on site Cons: Hot water: didn't start working till around 10pm and none in the mornings. No Breakfast Noise- from the street and walls are thin Overall, I would stay here again... More

It's a very friendly hotel. We arrived in Kigali and arranged with the hotel they would organise a pick up at the airport. They arranged that for 10 dollars. Even though our plane was delayed over 2 hours, he pick up was still there. Rooms are clean and with some luck you'll have hot water (allthough the pressure is sometimes... More

- very unfriendly staff, not willing to help. When I left I even found out that I payed to much for my room and they didn't let me know. Not really fair. - water pressure is that low that you cannot wash your hair. - no wifi in the rooms - not a place to chill out

Hotel Isimbi is a fine hotel. I stayed here one week together with a friend, and we had a great stay. It's close to the city centre, it's clean and it has a polite and helpful staff. My only complaint is that it was quite noisy at night time, caused by the bar right across the street. If you want... More

Isimbi is a good hotel. It's central, clean, cheap and welcoming. I don't have any qualms about recommending this place. The restaurant is pretty good and the brouchettes are pretty good. Next time I'm in Kigali, I know where to stay.

Hotel Isimbi is a great hotel for location. It's an easy walk to everywhere in the centre, and the RDB Tourist Office to pick up gorilla permits is only 5 mins walk away. Close to Union Trade Centre and a number of cafes and restaurants. The downside is that the rooms facing the street are VERY noisy- it sounds like... More

A simple hotel right in the middle of the city. The rooms were average with a small TV. The rooms are clean and mine had a balcony facing the street. They have free Wi-Fi in the rooms which surprisingly was fast. The cost of the room (it’s not a B&B) costs $40. Made my booking over the phone and was... More

The hotel is close to the City Center and the natural history museum - just a 5-10 minutes walk. We arrived at 2 am, but the receptionist was very friendly. Just the street in front of the hotel is a problem, because it's quite loud during the night. Next to the hotel is an Exchange Office. The sandwiches in the... More

We've stayed 2 nights at Isimbi. A good central location and for the price of 35 dollars for a double per night not much to complain. The bed wasn't that good, a pretty hard mattress, but it didn't keep us from sleeping well. The room was clean and light and, even though we had a room at the frontside, not... More

Woke with items stolen and welts on back from bedbugs. Paid upfront for a room and was told I could not be given the key. Ended up leaving early to stay in a different hotel and forfeiting money already paid. Additionally, for what it's worth there really isn't much to do in city center. Better to stay nearer to the...
