I'm not sure why there are average reviews here. This hotel is on par with top class / 5 stars in the developed parts of the world. The rooms were excellent and the service very good. I'd highly recommend for a stay in a very comfortable, secure and pretty part of Kigali

We stayed here for one night on our way out of the country after going to see the gorillas. According to our guide, the Serena is the best hotel in Kigali. The rooms were very comfortable. After a week in safari lodges, we were pleased to be able to enjoy a nice, long shower without worrying about running out of... More

Stayed at Kigali Serena on our way from Serengeti to Volcanoes Parc. Superior large hotel - return to civilization! Room was fine. Staff meet our requests for a fan and full a/c quickly and willingly. Food was great. Dinner in the ala carte restaurant was tasty and well serviced (still not sure how much it cost in USD). Breakfast buffet... More

Kigali Serena Hotel is by all standards the best hotel in Rwanda, and the fame that the name exudes tells it all. I had dinner in the hotel, and was not disappointed by the quality of the food. It was worth every coin. It coincided with the meeting of the East African Law Society, and that explains why the staff... More

The hotel is situated not far from the airport (about 15km) and down the road from Kigali CBD. The staff were professional, efficient and always ready to assist. The breakfast buffet probably has the most variety I've ever seen in my travels. I enjoyed the food prepared for lunch as well as dinner - there was variety and I got... More

This hotel was beautifully decorated with business or embassy visitors elegantly dressed. It is definetly not a casual place though welcomes casual visitors. The rooms were relatively small but super comfortable beds and bathroom. The hotel is heavy on security which is nice. The pool is elegant and eating outside over the pool in the warm evening air was special.... More

I was Impressed with the standard of this hotel and the quality of the service. Having said that I was impressed with Rwanda overall. This hotel was clean the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were in traditional dress, the reception staff all had coordinated clothing that changed each day. The food and service in the restaurant was good... More

We stayed one night at the Kigali Serena Hotel and had a very good experience. Staff were attentive, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet had a nice selection and good quality food. I only gave it a "Very Good" rating because it wasn't anything extraordinary. From what I've read, it is the nicest hotel in Kigali (currently... More
