My wife and I just stayed one night at the Kigali Serena and everything was great. Courteous service when we checked in, helpful people to get us settled in out room which was very comfortable, and the next day one of the best breakfast buffet's we have ever had. I. Know the hotel is not cheap, but it's worth staying... More

Booked three night two consecutive and one a day after gorilla trek. Arrived back to hotel at 8.30 pm to find that our room had been given away. After many heated words thay found us a room and an explanation about the room was promised. When we went to our room it was a suite and a magical upgrade. We... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Serena, once on the way to gorilla trekking and once on the way back. The hotel seems to be one of the 2 best options in Kigali. One night we had a pool view room which was lovely, the other night our view was over the tent where the staff passed through security...not as... More

This is the place where the Rwandan power elite (power breakfasts, lunches, coffees, dinners and drinks) meets one another and encounters the outside world. It is comfortable, well appointed and the staff is unfailingly gracious. They could work on some service details (e.g.)I Asked for a newspaper delivery every day in 5 and never once received it), but this is... More

A great hotel in a terrific location to tour Kigali. The staff is great, particularly the food and beverage staff. If you are there when the African buffet is on offer don't miss it! And the tour and airport transfer company they use is exceptional!

This hotel amazed me on my first trip to rwanda. I wasn't expecting much, but this hotel auroaed all expectations. The security is very high at the hotel which makes you feel very safe the main structure is an engineering marvel, the pool and restaurant is amazing. The rooms fully appointed with all the amenities, and seriously the largest softest... More

Impressive hotel in the heart of Kigali. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable, housekeeping is excellent and the Wi-Fi always worked during my two weeks stay. The only problem I had was with the noise: I was first in room 307 but I sleep with the windows open and there were machineries/ generators outside my window. I was moved... More

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Kigali. The city is quite modern..an interesting place....Security is everywhere....Military with machine guns and every where you go,..even to the local strip mall...they check under your car for bombs!!

The Kigali Serena is a good choice for a hotel in Kigali if you are looking for amenities and the style of a larger hotel. It doesn't have competition right now, so can afford to be slack on service but this might change when the brand new Marriott hotel opens next door. The hotel is nice, and they offer a... More

I was impressed that the hotel offered great five-star service. The staff were courteous, the rooms were clean, and the restaurants had good food. Nice pool. The gym was good except it could have used a bit more air circulating but that could have been just when I was there. We had no problems with flies (bugs) when eating outdoors... More
