I liked Okapi a lot and stayed there twice, once in the much nicer $60 rooms, once in the slightly overpriced $40 rooms. It's a great place to meet other travellers, and the service is excellent. more

I don't understand the good reviews about this Hotel. I visited the hotel in summer 2008 but the rooms are old and the environment is very noicy because of the construction work next door. Internet is very slow and the breakfast is not very nice. Management of Hotel is not very nice either I would not recomend this hotel. more

I was in Kigali in 2006, and 2007 for work and both times stayed at the Hotel Okapi the staff really go out of their way to make sure you’re happy and well taken care of.
