The La Palisse hotel is a good conference and meeting facility but completely run down. The very friendly staff had to do yeoman's job to make water run, to release airlock on daily basis. The breakfast does not bid a good morning and the rooms are oversized for contemporary style. However, it has very good recreation facilities such as a... More

We had a team of almost thirty in Kigali for over a week. The La Palisse was a great place for our team. There were a few drawbacks: one room did not have hot water, another room had plumbing issues, and the internet was only adequate. However, the service was very good. Our team felt very welcomed and several of... More

I spent six nights at this hotel built on a hill overlooking the Kigali International Airport. The airport is a walking distance but you can choose to drive 5 to 10 minutes. The hotel has a beautiful landscape which makes you exercise every time you make a move, even against your wish. It is very spacious and good for any... More

Stayed here for a couple of days for a business meeting: not the normal kind a place for such a meeting in terms of comfort and luxury. However, the cottages were very nice and quiet (don't know about the rooms in the main hotel building). As common in African hotels, much could be improved by very little effort (tightening the... We have spent the last 5 years in Kigali many weeks at a time. We are preparing our own bed and breakfast because we wanted a more affordable and comfortable option than we had been able to find in the last 5 years for an extended stay. While we were making preparations, we needed a place to stay. We found... More

Whilst not 5 star., was a nice relaxing place to spend 24 hours and would hace stayed my other 4 days in Kigali here but a booking mess up prevented this. There is room for improvement - no hot water in the taps and no publicity about tours, both would have been helpful. Had a nice comprehensive menu too.

I had a wonderful time staying at this hotel twice during a recent trip. (We left and went to another city for a few days and came back.) Each cottage is unique with its own little quirks. The grounds are beautiful and built on the side of a hill. The food was excellent. I didn't visit the pool and gardens,... More
