My friends and I frequent the pool bar over at Hotel des Mille Collines for cocktails, beers, delicious skewered meat (brochettes), and awesome live music by their house band. The best nights are arguably Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays but I believe they have live music every day. Definitely a place to check out with friends or a date. Doesn't disappoint!

I was quite disappointed by the Hotel Des Mille Collines. It did not start well, I arranged for the hotel to pick me up from the airport. Having collected my bag, I met the driver who told me we were waiting for another guest, having waited 20 minutes he phoned the hotel to be told the other guest had got... More

Lunch at Hotel Rwanda We arrived in Rwanda and were taken to the hotel where the movie Hotel Rwanda was shot. The actual name is Hotel Mille Collines. We had lunch next to a nice pool. It is not a great looking hotel and we were not overly impressed with the facade or ambiance. We had lunch at the pool... More

I stayed alone for 3 days at the end of December @the mille collines. Hotel is very good value. The staff was really nice and helpfull. New Year dinner in the restaurant was perfect. Even the food at the swimming pool bar was parfect. A nice place to stay in Kigali, for business or leisure.

Always a reliable place to stay in. Good value, very friendly staff and easy to connect to places. Great meeting places to have friends come over for a meal and drinks. Security increased making it a safe place to stay.

From what I had read I wasn't expecting anything wonderful but that isn't why I went here. It was for the history. Unfortunately they really haven't done much. I presume there are no photographs available. Only found a small plaque in parking lot. Supper was very average and took just under 2 hours from being ordered to being served. The... More

OK, so yes, it has all been renovated. yes, it is the famous "Hotel Rwanda" from the movie, but honestly, the service is so bad, the staff so 'disinterested' and slow that you leave there wondering why you bothered to go there in the first place. Quite honestly, the only smile you will get from staff there are from the... More

Dear Darryl, Thank you very much for your open and honest feed back. It is totally unacceptable that the prices in the menu and on the bill varies. This has been fixed right away. As for the unfavorable guest service experience, all related departments were informed and further training is ongoing, a proper appearance and attitude is the basic in... More

I was not impressed by the Mille Collines hotel. The rooms are small, the beds are overly firm, and although it just happened once, I woke up a couple of flying insects on me..they weren't mosquitos, they looked like fleas. There was insect repelent in the room so I used that, but its still a very ikky feeling. The internet... More

This hotel is not what one mitt expect if one has seen the film 'Hotel Rwanda'. For sure this is the real life Hotel Rwanda but it looks nothing like in the movie, which portrayed a 2 story stylish building whereas the actual hotel is 5 story modern and a little ugly by comparison. I booked on Expedia which seemed... More

The Mille collines is one of the high class hotels in Kigali It is a very nice luxury hotel, with an excellent restaurant. Prices however are pretty high. The quality of the breakfast, especially if you look at the prices of the room , was rather substandard. The life music at the bar ( and also the life music from... More
