Stayed at Apo Hotel for business in May 2015. As of May 1st 2015, the hotel is no longer part of the Protea chain. The set up of the hotel is neat with smaller buildings spread out. The restaurant and amenities are centrally located. The room was quite ok, though small, the mattress comfortable and enough power outlets available, the... More

The service and food is good, but you can clearly see the owner does not want to do any capital inlay into the hotel as everything is going backwards. It's not at all protea standards at all.i will not recommended it to any expat wishing to visit Abuja

I have stayed at the Protea Hotel Apo Apartments in Abuja for many years and it is consistently good. The rooms are clean as is the linen and bedding. The food is now great and the staff are always obliging and friendly. It is always a pleasure to be accommodated there and the staff, from the GM down do their... More

I suspected something was wrong when it was the staff that checked us in that also took us to the apartment! A hotel or a truck stop motel? Dirty splintered front door to the apartment complemented by three disused or should i say abandoned air-conditioning units right by the entrance. With wife and three kids in a maybe not so... More

I returned after staying here year before. The staff and management are great ! The Wi Fi still bad and erratic. Knowing the GM helps as the room and room cleaning was not the best, but all comments were quickly sorted out. The breakfasts good and the kitchen food good. Nigerian Expensive.

It is more like a chalet style hotel, the rooms are somehow renovated, wih bad wifi connections, was informed over 2 days that the people are working on it to boost it, but did not notice the difference, somehow clean, breakfast is average, you can order from the kitchen omellettes, staff are rather nice, compared to other hotels in Abuja,... Very comfy hotel. Set in a place away from the crowd but still close enough to the centre of town. Nice well appointed rooms. Beautiful and clean environment. Nice staff and attention to detail by staff. Apo is one of three Protea Hotels in Abuja but its the only one with a choice of apartments. The food is not bad... More

A good and decent hotel in Abuja. You won't be "in the spot", but reasonably near business areas, in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Rooms are good, not luxurious but spacious, clean, equipped. Would recommend as an option in a city where you won't find a vast array of hotels.

Stayed at Protea Apo, I typical Protea fashion, I was made welcome by the staff greeted by name and made to feel generally comfortable. Power problems abounded, but then this is Nigeria. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Logistics were a little unrealizable and not reliable, but management promised to look into it. Wireless was erratic and slow.

I stayed here for few nights in October 2010 when they were in the process of renovating the hotel. When I stayed they had only 2 bedroom apartments or studios available. The 1 bedroom apartments had not yet been renovated. The 2 bedroom was too much money for me, a single business traveller, so I chose a studio. The studio... More
