The property is well designed but poorly managed. The rooms are large but the electrical connections and plumbing needs major overhaul. Wi Fi was not working in the rooms, electrical breakdowns are frequent. We were to stay for 5 nights in March 2015 but checked out after 2 nights. Overall a disappointing trip.

The hotel needs a new management which should take maintenance and business seriously, the only plus the hotel has is the initial design and build was 5star but it has gradually deteriorated to like 3 or 2 star. Location is good as its centrally located.food is ok most of the airconditioning is not functional they have tried to tackle this... More

Don't let the name fool you. The Nicon may have been luxurious in 1985 but barely delivers on the basics today. My room was a massive suite with dining and living room areas and separate bedroom. Fine for the value but barely used since there was no WiFi coverage in the room. So most of my time spent in the... More

Travelled in August 2012 The rooms is a good size and has the expected amenities. There are mosquito catchers in the corridors which you have to dodge and duck to get past. The dinner buffet is quite limited and pricey. Breakfast was okay. Customer service is so-so at the front desk. Security was good - guard at the gates. Location... More

I really enjoyed your hotel especially your swimming pool and restaurants. Please keep up . Once again remember to be in booking.com and alike, it will boost your business experience and help you generate more customers and awareness to your business. I have search in booking. com without your hotel available.

Oh, dear. The hotel is in the process of making renovations but what was not clear is whether the room I had had already been renovated or not because although it looked like it could have been, it could still do with a make-over! The communal areas (bar, restaurant) are reminiscent of a hotel from the 1970s, as is the... More

The hotel needs renovation which, i understand, is taking place. Good sport facilities, shops and bars. Service is good and breakfast rich. Not too pricey in comparison to other hotels in the area. Wifi needs improvements but it is free.

I returned recently from a 2 day stay at this hotel, and before the trip was dreading it due to the terrible reviews of the hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised however. With reference to the items noted in the other reviews: (1) the hotel is a bit dated and maintenance is a little lacking, but the odd carpet stain... More

The place is old. I dont know if it is the age or the lack of maintenance that makes the place kind of damp. I was kind of puzzled that they only had 1 restaurant but at least 4 bars. However the frontdesk guys do their best to make you feel welcome. On the plus side, the shops, banks and... More

This is a place to be avoided. Apart from the staff being helpful and polite it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in hundreds. The rooms were old and tired, the phones don't work and food is at best very average. I would rather pay a little more for something else. I would... More
