Erongo Wildnerness Lodge is a place that should not be used as a one night stopover (as we did) but rather try to stay for 2-3 nights. Arriving in the afternoon and having to leave the next morning, we only had time for one walk. We choose to go with Charles on the sundowner walk to the top of a... more

The previous reviewer said it all. We have just spent 3 glorious weks in this fanatstic country & we couldn't have chosen a better place in whcih to spend our last 2 nights. The staff are so helpful & friendly & the ladies in the dining room & kitchen are so incredibly happy. Everyone is interested in the local wild... more

The Erongo conservancy isn't a place you can forget in a hurry. The area is defined by the large kopjes (mountains which are seemingly made up of hundreds of boulders of varying sizes). These defy easy description as they can seemingly take most forms, from a toast rack to an upside-down boat. It's this setting that the wilderness lodge have... more

This is were it all started and I got hooked on birding...Erongo is to blame that I am now a twitcher. The place is simply beautiful, nice tents set among boulders. There was no big game and few animals so we went on walks and discovered the colourful (love birds ) and awinspiring (eagles) birdlife. After many many safaris, Erongo... more

We arrived with no booking, having driven all day from the north of the country on the recommendation of someone we met in Grootberg. If there was no room, it didnt matter as the lodge is close to Omararu so we could easily turn back. Anyway, it was half an hour to sunset and a storm was bearing down.Since the... more

We arrived and were taken to our Tented Accomodation. Within five minutes I said to my wife I definately want to come back here. Of the five places I stayed in Namibia this was undoubtedly my favourite. The situation is really astonishing. The view from our Tent was great. I say Tent in a loose way. The tent has a... more

We stayed at Erongo wilderness lodge for 2 nights as part of a three week tour of Namibia. We thought it would make a good stopover point between Etosha in the north and Swakopmund in the West. The lodge is located is a private, sheltered valley in the Erongo mountains and as such is very peaceful and has the feel... more
