I stayed one night at the Olive Grove Hotel before beginning my tour of Namibia. It's location was excellent as it was right in hte middle of town. The staff was friendly, helpful, and smiling. I thought the food was excellent and very fresh. My room was bare but functional, and I had views from two windows. The shower was excellent and had plenty of hot water.... more

Our excellent Tour Operator Ultimate Safaris booked us in this lovely hotel and we can really recommand it. Modern and clean rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We ate at the "must place" Joe's Beer House but we spoke with other guests who enjoyed very much the dinner in the hotel. more

Stayed for one night before our Namibia tour. It's quite a lovely place, very peaceful. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the premises which were great. The staff were very helpful in securing my luggage which was lost in the flight over. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. more

I don't know what we did to deserve the dungeon room considering we paid first class rates. My husband said the only thing missing were the shackles! The only 'window' was the glass patio doors, but we had to keep the drapes closed for privacy. Another reviewer mentioned their room was like Nelson Mandela's cell on Robben Island - they... more

We stayed at the suite for one night, which was quite a pleasant surprise. The room was -huge-, a living area with two sofas, a queen sized bed in the bed room fitted with stereo and DVD player and a bathtub so big that I was afraid I could drown myself. There are candles in the bathroom to make a... more

This place is amazing ... quality all the way. Check the website. http://www.olivegrove-namibia.com/ Sorry the review is so late - someone just asked me to recommend a place in Windhoek and I realise i'd forgotten to write-up. All tour operators try to get you to stay at the AWFUL Windhoek Country Club - I have been there. There is just... more

Lovely clean, quiet, pleasant accommodation perfect after flying in from the UK or spending a few days relaxing around Windhoek. Real close to Joe's Beerhouse for some good eating of native wild species. more

We were a party of 10 using 5 rooms, one of which was a family room. This commentary is a consensus view from the whole party. We stayed at the Olive Grove for one night. Some of the rooms were not not clean, especially the showers. Other than that, it was fine for a one night stop over in Windhoek. more

Landing in Windhoek, coming from Europe, you will probably land in the morning, but Olive Grove - by way of an example of the level of service you will receive from this excellent boutique hotel - will do everything possible to make your room available when by the time you arrive. It's a small thing but shows how Olive Grove... more
