The staff overall was good and very pleasant. I was told repeatedly not to walk to the city center due to danger. This would have been good to know when booking. Great view and excellent restaurant as the food was prepared perfectly, well presented, and promptly served. The facility is in desperate need of renovations and the room charge should... More

The setting of the Hotel is spectacular but the customer service is non-existent. I have had to carry my own luguagge from the car park to the room, ask three times for WIFI password and was ignored at breakfast. I could not wait to leave this Hotel. The staff and atmosphere is unpleasant to say the least.

I am writing this from our room at the Heinitzburg hotel in Windhoek, Namibia, after having spent an entire day today and dinner at their supposedly "best restaurant in town." I give this entire place an F for failure on every level possible . I am a world traveler for many years (91 countries). We have just come off of... More

The Heinitzburg is a lovely Hotel with a beautiful view over the whole city. The rooms are very spacious and the decoration is tasteful. I highly recommend the restaurant, the food is delicious and the view is breathtaking. It is also lovely to have breakfast on the terrace, great choice of bread, muesli, eggs etc. The staff is friendly and... More

This hotel has an excellent view over the City. Breakfast and dinner can be taken on the terrace. Food and wine list are excellent for those favouring modern cuisine. Rooms are spacious and well appointed although the pool is on the small side. A ten minute strol to the centerl

If you stay in Windhoek, this is the place to stay. Even the rooms are not very large, the service is great. The staff really try to accommodate you. You get a glas of champagne after arrival. Dinner is more than great and also the breakfast in one of the best in Namibia .The view from the terrace - where... More

Been here few times with clients and alone, quite posh and nostalgic, just 300 metres from crowdy downtown, but you feel safe and tranquil... Great view from teracce, nice food, a bit 3 stars service but guys need to work on it! Of course its more preferable to stay in the lodge but if you in town, stay here, its... More

Don't get too excited if you are planning to stay here. It might be the best hotel in Windhoek, but compared to international standards it's mediocre. The rooms have an air of nostalgia, but are rather dark, the pool area is ok, not extremely nice. Service at the pool was slow and the chap kept forgetting things. However, the terrace... More

Hotel Heinitzburg is a restored 1914 stone castle with unique medieval architecture. It is set on top of a hill in Windhoek. The hotel features a pool in a manicured garden, a wine cellar and two restaurants. There are 18 luxurious guest suites. The hotel is gated, with lots of security. The high iron fences and bars on the exterior... More

Nicely located in a quiet area and overlooking Namibia's capital Heinitzburg is full of references to the early 1900, some updating has to be scheduled but keeping this atmosphere would be nice. Good restaurant with extensive wine list and friendly servece.
