I stayed here expecting to be wowed by ''the'' hotel of the capital. It is a stunningly beautiful property, with epic views and grounds. Well meaning staff, but I was greatly disappointed by mid managements response to a simple and polite request for a adapter for a charger. Calling a room and starting a conversation with: ''I understand you are... More

Wonderfull to stay in a historic building. We liked the bling-bling, although it took a while to get used to it. Some mistakes: Can not understand why there are single duvets on double bed. When I asked for no ham on my omelette, I had to send back because they put bacon on it and my dessert at the restaurant... More

My fiance and I prelimanary booked a room where she could get dressed before our wedding. It has been her dream to get dressed in this hotel for a long time. We wanted to have a look at one of the rooms before we confirmed the booking. This was clearly a problem as the person helping us at reception (executive chef)... More

What a great oasis to come back to after a full on days work. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and the underground wine cellar has the most magnificent wines in stock. Parking was an issue, yet porters carry your bags up for you. Great pool area to cool in off too.

The hotel is what it says it is ... a converted castle, but the atmosphere is rather formal and somewhat stuffy. The room was large and comfortable, though fussy. The dining room has overly-elaborate dishes and looks like it's from the 60s. The formality was off-putting: we wanted to have dinner on the terrace overlooking the city, but the hotel... More

We stayed at this hotel en route to Etosha to break up the journey. Whilst it is a very nice hotel it is definitely not for disabled it has quite a steep driveway up to the hotel from the car park and is not noted in its description. The rooms were very nice but the service at breakfast was very... More

Our two night stay at the Hotel Heinitzburg was a delightful beginning to our three week vacation in southern Africa. Our beautifully furnished room overlooked the garden and the pool, which, since the hotel had few guests, became our private hideaway. The attention to detail in the room was exceptional, from the decor, to the roses, to the champagne. The... More

This is probably one of the better hotels in Windhoek. It has a lovely setting and a great view. Our room was fine though the decor is a little frou-frou for my tastes. We spent a couple of hours by the pool which was nice enough. The food at dinner was decent though again, too fussy. What lets this place... More

My wife and I stayed here one night before commencing our four week journey in Namibia and Botswana. Great place. Built 1914 as a small castle and later turned into a hotel. Very charming. Top notch service level. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. With good AC. A large TVscreen. Good WiFi. The bathrooms are OK but not more. The... More

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Windhoek. The rooms are large and nicely appointed but not in a "cookie-cutter" way. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was that bottled water wasn't provided.
