I stayed in the guesthouse before and after my trip and enjoy both nights. It is a calm place (although you can hear neighboring dogs sometimes), secure, and friendly service. The rooms and nicely equipped, WiFi available and overall it was an enjoyable stay.

We have just spent two nights here resting up before heading out on safari. We have been very happy here. Staff have been friendly and welcoming and Neto the Manager has gone out of his way to help us, including taking us into town and picking us up. The hotel is in the suburbs, which makes it a quiet destination,... More

We stayed here for one night as a stopover from Botswana. The place was immaculate. The staff was very accommodating. We had a lovely breakfast and they packed us an excellent lunch for our long journey to Soussevlei. The inn was not listed on the GPS so make sure you get the address before heading there. It's in a very... More

Like others, first hotel before country tour. Was unsure what rating to give, as not sure how it benchmarks with other hotels in Windhoek - might be be a bit harsh or a bot generous. Per se , it is ok , a very small set-up but with helfpul and friendly staff. Room was very nice, but we didn;t get... More

We stayed here twice - one night on our arrival in Windhoek, and 2 weeks later on our final night, having been on a 14 day Namibia tour in between. As we only wanted to take a soft bag of minimal luggage on the tour, Galton House happily looked after our main suitcases for us for a fortnight. There were... More

This is like sharing a family's house and all that comes with, although each room is a lot nicer than most rooms at home. Meals are served in the dining room in the kitchen by a chef, who cooks right in the kitchen for you. Meals are very good, people are very nice, and very comfortable.

Excellent and cosy with very friendly staff, very nice rooms and a great breakfast. Situated in a quiet and calm part of the city, in the northeast, but it is not too far away in to the center of the city.

we met at galton house before heading off on safari, it was decent enough for this purpose Location - out of the way of most shops, cafes and restaurants so you will need a car if you dont want to eat here. Pool - we were here in May, the pool was VERY cold, which was dissapointing after a 11... More

Our family of 6 stayed at Galton Guest House in Windhoek in August 2012 and loved it. We weren't expecting that much since we had only booked it a few days before our trip during high season, and so we were most pleasantly surprised when we got there after a long drive from Johannesburg. Our rooms were nice and spacious,... More
