We stayed a night enroute to to a safari. Sadly only a night. We have found a real gem and The Olive Exclusive will now be our only Windhoek Hotel. The rooms are awesome...great decor and the staff friendly and helpful. Worth a stay

Our last day in Namibia was spent at the Olive Exclusive in Windhoek. Having traveled extensively and stayed at some amazing places, we were blown away by the Olive Exclusive. It's quirky with amazing decor. We stayed in a suite where old parts of the original building were used to decorate the rooms, and I say rooms! We had a... More

Travel to Windhoek on regular basis. I stayed at The Olive for first time. It meets all my expectations and more. Amazingly friendly staff, well furnished rooms, problem free WiFi, very nice restaurant, beautiful decor. A must stay. I will go back.

We stayed here for two nights recently. Once at the start of our Namibia trip and again at the end. We were greeted by very friendly staff and after checking in were shown to our superb room which turned out to be a very lovely suite. Dinner in the evening was delicious and very reasonably priced and the morning breakfast... More

When I first began visiting Namibia around 2000, I would spend my first nights in Windhoek's Olive Grove Guest House, which I found a pleasant stay with great service and exceptional food. After a few years we moved to the Vertigo - which I loved - because I acquired friends in that neighbourhood. Unfortunately, that guest house closed; and I... More

We spend the night of my birthday here as a treat, and what a treat that was. The room was gorgeous, the interior design was stunning. Dinner and Breakfast were also wonderful. We had issues with the lock on our room, but the host couldn't have been more helpful and apologetic. Service was fantastic. Only wish we could have stayed... More

This is my first visit to Namibia and if this hotel is anything to go by - they have set a standard! We had a lovely room and were greeted by a smiling and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and nothing was too much. There is free wifi, complimentary port and sherry in the rooms and the bed... More

Lovely modern suites, excellent food and great view - this is an ideal place to stopover to and from Etosha. The Hotel Thule used to be our favorite stopover but the food and service at Thule has gone down - they still have a nice view but they are nowhere near the standard of the Olive Exclusive! All the Olive... More

This is a lovely hotel. We had an enormous suite with 2 outdoor decks and a plunge pool. The staff was very warm and caring. We also had dinner here which was delicious. The only thing we didn't love was the many stairs to our room. We'll be back in a couple of days and I'm looking forward to it!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This intimate boutique hotel in a tranquil corner of Windhoek embodies the very essence of chic comfort. The Olive Exclusive – the first ultra-luxurious sanctuary of its kind in the Namibian capital – is cool, contemporary and stylish but with a warm heart and authentic African soul. Its sleek, modern lines are complemented by organic textures, natural furnishings, an eco-friendly approach and dedicated personal service.Simple elegance is key, from the organic rough-hewn wooden benches and side tables, through the sculpted chunk of granite that serves as a coffee table in the guest lounge, to walls clad in abstract Namibian landscapes by well-known South African photographer Micky Hoyle. The seven suites are individually decorated so each reflects a different region in Namibia, and each has its own lounge area with fireplace and dining room, for private dining. Wide glass doors open onto spacious decks where you can relax on a shady daybed, enjoy al fresco lunches or, if yours is a premium suite, take a dip in your own private plunge pool.Such are the creature comforts that you may find it hard to leave: sink into an extra-length bed dressed in crisp, pure-cotton linen, or indulge in a bubble bath in a freestanding tub with sweeping mountain views. Air-conditioning, satellite TV and iPod docking stations are standard, as is a computer with WiFi access. Then there's a fully stocked mini bar, complete with a premium wine selection, so you can toast the setting sun in fine style. The Olive Exclusive boasts a quality restaurant featuring a seasonal menu, with inventive signature dishes. The fully stocked bar also features a classic selection of fine whisky. ... more   less
