Stayed at Pension Steiner before a three weeks self driven/camping through Namibia. Loved the convenient location of the pension, the service and the quiet environment. The staff was very cordial and helpful the room clean, with basic services, good enough for this kind of travel. Breakfast is included in the price and the garden offers a comfortable place where to... More

Before my tour of Namibia started, I spent a few days at the Hotel Pension Steiner in Windhoek. My room was clean and comfortable and I felt safe. I enjoyed the breakfast on offer. Due to the close proximity of the hotel to the city centre, I was able to walk to town but only during daylight hours. After dark... More

We stayed as a family at the beginning and end of our self drive safari in September. Although we felt safe, and reasonably clean, the rooms made me feel like I was at a hostel from my 20s. We paid approx. $100 a night for a basic room with 4 single beds (it actually had 5). The front desk was... More

The rest of my party left and 20 minutes later, at 03h15, someone tried to open my door. This with a security guard 10 metres away? It's in a very noisy location so not much sleep for guests. The shower sprays more water onto the ceiling than downwards and reception stinks of old cigarettes and dirty ashtrays. Possibly my most... More

The great advantage of this hostel is its central location. Right in the center but in a quiet street, with a beautiful garden and pool and a secure parking. The welcome is friendly and you will be helped to the best of ability. They are willingly to book a restaurant for you, call a cab, ... They will even try... More

This is a standard motel style establishment that benefits from its proximity to the central business district of Windhoek. It is clean, functional, has secure parking and an adequate breakfast is included in the price. There is really nothing remarkable about Steiner and the room tariff reflects that. The rooms are just about big enough, the TV service is a... More

This pension is very well situated in the heart of Windoeck. Rooms are cleaned but very hot. Services are ok except that the people at the reception are really not friendly. If you need nothing you can ask..

Not only it is in the center of Windhoek, everything is in walking distance, but also it's a very nice and comfortable place to stay. The garden with the pool is unique and also the friendly and helpful staff is really outstanding. I had my husband sick as we arrived there and I don't know what I would have done... More

Hotel Pension Steiner was recommended to us by a family friend who has been to Windhoek quite a few times, however, the not all the reviews on Trip Advisor looked fantastic, so we didn't really know what to expect when we got there. We needn't have worried though because it was perfect for what we needed. Its central location meant... More

Have no idea about the quality of similar hostelry in Windhoek for sake of comparison, only that the Steiner is located a short walk from the center and all conveniences and amenities of this city. The facility is comprised of a secure compound with the rooms laid out in a manner ensuring quiet and negligible street noise. In room 16,... More
