this was our last night in Namibia and we loved it. The rooms are beautifully designed in a lovely setting. Bettina the host is very welcoming and we had a lovely meal. It's only an hour from the airport and on route we saw last views of Namibia including oryx, springbok and a family of warthogs!

This was a perfect stay at the beginning of our round trip in Namibia and South-Africa. The surroundings of Eningu are very beautiful. It is a perfect spot to experience the tranquility and wonders of the Kalahari Desert. The rooms are beautiful and have a personal style. Outside there is a nice bird hide and you can make a few... Eningu Clayhouse Lodge was our first accomodation in Namibia. And what an experience! Upon arrival we spent a few hours in Windhoek and we were really glad we didn't have to stay there any longer than that (what an uninspiring town!). It's quite a drive to get to Eningu, more than half of the road was on gravel roads, I... More

Very nice lodge in the middle of nowhere some 100 km east of Windhoek, 65 km only from the international airport. Ideal stopover when traveling from north to south or vice versa by car/camper. Luckily no pack tourists in this place, so you can relax. Highly recommended. However, prices are stiff, USD 100 pp. Good lodge standard but in Asia... More

After the night flight from Frankfurt to Windhoek (air Namibia) we were very fatigue. A few km outside Windhoek, we did stay in the Clayhouse.. Just to recover. Bettine is a lovely host. The chef cookes fantastic food. The best food we had during our 3 weeks stay in Namibia. Take a relaxing walk at the premises.

The lodge was magical. Adobe buildings in a Spanish colonial style. The shower was huge and it was so great to see how the "waste" water was being treated. The black pool with porcupines painted on the bottom. The beautiful furniture and the trails that are groomed for wonderful walks in the red sand. So quiet and peaceful. The food... More

we found Eningu Clayhouse Lodge a suprisingly welcome oasis after a 7 hour drive (in a sedan car) from Southern Namibia . On our 2 day stay we were the only guests ( February is low season in Namibia) and this was like having our own game lodge .It is a small intimate site as other postings detail . Our... More

Our family spent a very pleasant weekend at Eningu Clayhouse Lodge to get away from the workaday routine of Windhoek. Eningu is possibly the most delightful lodge/guest-farm of its type we've stayed at in Namibia. As other posters have noted, it is small -- 9 rooms in 4 or 5 small cabins. Don't expect wifi, television, live entertainment, etc. Yet... More

This treat for the eye is a comfortable nature retreat in the middle of nowhere. Indeed, it’s located in the Kalahari, about an hour east of Windhoek airport and even farther from Windhoek proper. In this case, location is everything and it is incredible. The sounds you hear may be made by hundreds of birds or maybe the shush-shush of... More

My wife and I stayed at Eningu Clayhouse Lodge for two nights at the start of our trip to Nambia and Zambia. As we had been on planes for about 40 hours before we got to the lodge, and it was the perfect, quiet place to relax. We were the only guests, but as there only 9 rooms I can't... More
