I would recommend this hotel if you want a clean, safe and accessible place. It is surrounded by shops, places where you can buy curios and Mozambiquan music. The food is fantastic!. more

With Mozambique having now become very popular with South Africans and accomodation becoming one of the more expensive destinations, the Hoyo Hoyo is quite reasonable. Especially asked for a larger room (other reviews noted small rooms) and had a reasonable size double bed room with ensuite. We were only staying one nite in Maputo and Hoyo Hoyo was recommended to us. The room was inexpensive and clean but VERY small. The bathroom was also extremly small. Ive been going to Mozambique for a couple a weeks every year since 05 doing a little aid work. We stay in Maputo the first night and the last night of the trip. Ive stayed ina few Hotels in the country and I have to say for Value for money, Location and friendly staff this is the place for you.... more
