We were met at the airport late at night the Royal Air Maroc flight by the hotel driver with an excellent new Land Cruiser. The drive to the hotel is 15 minutes. The hotel is clean and functional. The bed was ok. Breakfast was excellent french bread and croissants. Food in the restaurant was very good: bbq fish, chicken, lobster... More

I was there for a business trip in September 2013 actually. During my 5 nights stay, there were a few blackouts which I suspected due to the low power supply or electrocution. In countries like Mauritania, I knew I shouldn't expect much although I heard from the expatriates living here that this hotel was one of the decent accommodations in... More

I stayed here twice, once at the beginning and end of my trip. There is a decent restaurant, with good juices and a generous breakfast buffet with Nutella. Trust me, after a week in the country, Nutella is a national treasure. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were friendly. The internet didn't work in my... More

I stayed at Hotel Iman for about a week at the end of March 2014. The room was clean, the air-conditioning was working well and the room was equipped with a small fridge. I asked the staff at reception for additional clothes hangers and an iron which were promptly placed in my room. Breakfast (not included in the price) was... More

Stayed here for 1 night on a recent business trip, and found the hotel to be decent given the country you are in. It is not a luxury 5 star resort by any means, but you wouldnt expect to find that in Mauritania. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower had hot water. They are the main... More

Residence Iman is a very basic hotel in Nouakchott: Rooms are reasonably well equipped, quite dark with dated furniture and extremely hard mattress. My room did not have hot water. Internet works very badly. The airport shuttle bus (which is complementary) did not come to pick me up at the airport -although I have send a reminder email- this was... More

I stayed in a 1 bed apartment styled room. Kitchen was clean and had all the tools to cook and eat. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Restaurant had good choices and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

We were very pleased that we chose to stay here at the beginning and end our trip in Mauritania. The hotel is central right opposite where the new US Embassy is being built. Staff are very friendly and eager to please. The lady at the reception desk is especially helpful. We had a very nice room on the third floor... More

Nothing brilliant to say about it, but nothing too scathing either. I´ve stayed here on and off several times over the last year, only because I have no choice as this was the accommodation the company paid for. Rooms are large enough, self catering kitchen, staff are tolerant of their guests, if ordering food in the restaurant its usually easier... More

During my last stay in Nouakchott there was still a Novotel there. Now the IMAN is probably the best hotel in town. Excellent location if arriving by car from the north (Morocco). Just turn left at the first major intersection. For Mauritanian standards - one of the dirtiest capitals in the world - this place is very high quality.
