I stayed for two days while in Bamako. The hotel room was clean and the staff are friendly. There is a pool at the back but the gym is small and lacks a lot of equipment and what is present needs replacing. There are two ATM's in the building. I was not overly impressed with the menu but the food... More

I stayed at the "annex" of Azalai Grand. Throughout my stay I did not manage to find out whether this was the same or another hotel. I definitely did not find out if it had another name. The hotel is ok. It is clean and relatively comfortable. The rooms are huge, but without any sense of style and terrible light,... More

The hotel was probably top of the bill in former times, but its glory has faded. The elevator wasn't working when I arrived. It was still not functioning when I left (5 days later). The rooms are spacious, bathroom is ok, sleeping comfort is ok too. Water pressure could do with a bit more, as the shower has a hard... More

First time in Bamako, I stayed in the hotel for 5 days. The staff are very friendly, especially Sako in the restaurant, and mohamed in the reception. Rooms are clean and spacious, like mini suites with LED TV 32". bathroom are nice and hot water are all the time available. there was some cuts of electricity sometimes, but its not... More

Positives are that the location is convenient, most staff are friendly and the rooms are spacious. However service is quite inefficient and slow. One day I killed a cockroach in the bathroom and left it there by the door, for 2 days it was still there. Shower gel was not replaced for 4 days. The sheets, pillow cases and pillows... More

I have stayed 4 times at the Grand Hotel and the staff remembers my name. I like the rooms: the beds are nice (sheets have been used too many times and brand new ones would be welcome). They all are like mini suites with a TV area with a couch and minibar. Bathrooms are really nice with lots of counter... More

This is a 3.5 star rating for me. I don't know what it is about this hotel. It feels like a classy hotel past its prime. Staff managers around the restaurant are not particularly friendly; Grand hotel is definitely much more modest than its cousin Azalai Salam. But there is a nice relaxed feel to it. Like a strange salon... More

Smaller hotel in a fairly residential area. It is near to the train line and the whistle from the train can be loud and annoying. Rooms are pretty good and spacious although a bit tired. They have a gym but it is almost non-functional. The pool is nice and a little on the small side.

A good hotel considering that Bamako is not a tourist destination. Good food and clean rooms. Courteous and helpful staff. Mohamed is always available when you need to top up your prepaid mobile balance. ATM in the hotel makes it convenient to withdraw cash in emergency. Also Western Union attached to the hotel for sending or receiving money.

It is the best hotels to stay in Bamako at the moment as I have stayed in Hotel Azalai Salam as well in 2010. But, this is pure value for money, great and helpful staff throughout the hotel and most particularly, I feel really safe here because normally I come here for business and there are not much hotels in...
