Now the UN have pretty much taken over the hotel, prices have risen but service and quality have fallen. Food prices in the restaurant were extravagant. French is essential, as very few staff speak English. Rooms were comfortable and the AC worked . Metal detectors at the entrance were for show only - everyone just walked through and were not... Stayed in this hotel just after my high school graduation. Services very good and I always enjoy the outside view when am in the hotel. Rooms bit out dated but fresh and always clean. Food is very good and amazing staff

Stayed in the hotel during a business trip. Never experienced a generator cut here. Restaurant on the top floor is nice, but nothing special. The plus is that there is a nice pool (next time I'll think to bring a bathing suit) and it is next to the Niger River.

I have never been to a hotel anywhere in the world that you have a confirmed reservation and cannot get access to your room at 10pm in the evening (in fact there was a que of 12 people waiting for rooms, why are you paying for accommodation if you only get half the time)? The restaurant staff are polite and... More

Average hotel, over priced. Breakfasts ridiculous cost. Beers expensive. Good location with views over river Niger. Electricity cuts and generator do not synchronise so be prepared for 10 mins in the dark in an elevator.

When the night grows the crescendo of jazz music and djembe and guitar and the piano heightens. The girls come into action both inside and outside the longe bar counter and people across the nations from different continent gather in the action area-the musical lounge-bar of the hotel Laico l'Amitie. Located beside the mighty Niger river this hotel has a... More

You're back in the 70s in Hôtel L'Amitié. Stalinian building, aging equipment, slow moving staff, not exciting buffet for breakfast or meals. But rooms are rather cosy, you have a panoramic view on large gardens and Niger river. And above all don't forget you enjoy life in Bamako after a long and dramatic period

The Hotel itself is not bad, however the rooms have very old carpets, they are sol old that they are coming out of the floor and are very stained dirty, even though they clean the rooms on a daily basis. My main complain is the PRICE CHARGED for services...the Hotel daily rate is more than fine for what it is,... More

Staff doesn't understand English so U find language issues. Restaurant has limited options for Indians especially for vegetarians is concerned. Hotel has huge golf park and good swimming pool which you can join provided you have enough time. Overall I found its average and definitely not worth the 5 star status it has. Over Priced but considering Mali which has... More
