We had a two night stay in this lovely property, and could not have been more charmed by the experience. The setting is beautiful, the accommodation is comfortable and spacious, and the food was excellent. The hostesses could not have been more accommodating, especially when we needed to make some last minute departure changes. The highlight, however, was the forest... More

The 500m walk leading to the camp set the tone for our stay. The forest on one side and the rice fields on the other highlighted the serene blend of environmental beauty and exquisite food awaiting us. Our hostess warmly welcomed us, explaining the different hikes available. We opted for a 2 hour day hike and 1 hour night hike.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the calm simplicity of our three day stay in early May to Saha Camp. It nestles picturesquely on the edge of the Central Highlands rain forest and with good local guides we saw several types of lemur, chameleon, paradise flycatcher etc. etc. Do try a night walk. The service in our case was excellent and the "gourmet"... More

We stayed for 2 days, excellent environment, but the room service not so good. There is on and off electricity during the day and night, maybe because we were in low season at the time we visited. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, the room is basic and small, but quite fit into the forestry environment. You need to walk... More

What a great place to stay for 3 days. Day 1 you can trek for 5 or more hours. Day 2 go hep plant a tree (we did 10 actuallly). Day 3 rest or go night-trekking. It is also a great concept to associate locals to running the place. Also notice one of the best host ever: Shanou! Thanks for... More

a perfect w-e getaway from Tana. Only 2 hours from Tana. Hotel and service were just perfect. Food is excelent in spite of being so isolated. People are very well trained. Maybe only bad point was our guide into the forest who was just average and could not really answer our questions.... but our walk was still nice.

The farmlands, especially the rice paddies of Madagascar are beautifully terraced, irrigated properly, and very productive. There is no describing how beautiful some of this farmland is- you just have two see it for yourself. Saha Forest Camp is nestled in a hilly area, overlooking some stunningly beautiful rice paddies and is surrounded by lush forests, full of wildlife. The... More

Saha Forest Camp surpassed my expectations at every turn. We found a brochure for it in our hotel, and decided to go without any knowledge of what was really in store, and we are incredibly glad we chose it. We were picked up by a driver for the Camp and driven about 3 hours north of Tana to the nearest... More
