The rooms we had were clean and relatively comfortable. We liked the hotel even more after we had traveled around Madagascar for a couple weeks... Room 15 had a lovely porch and room 16 had 2 rooms and a kitchen. No bottled water was provided so you'll have to buy some. And the hotel provides free massages (but didn't inform... More

Just spent the night here so we could catch a flight out the next morning. Was very lovely. Old place so very charming with high ceilings and interesting architecture. The attached restaurant was very good. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, humorous and spoke good French or English. Hotel staff bent over backwards to accommodate. Fixed us a nice... More

It was quite a dismal trip - Madagascar is a tough country, vast distances, poor infrastructure and the quality of food and hotels is generally poor as they're not really geared towards tourism yet. However, this hotel was a delight. It's in a nice, tranquil part of town and the rooms have an old world charm and very clean and... More

Expectations should be modest in Madagascar but this hotel was great and beyond my expectations. It was charming, centrally located, spacious rooms and very nice/friendly staff. They serve very home like breakfast and they also have a good restaurant. Nothing to criticize

This was our third trip to Madagascar and second time staying at Le Pavillon. Our room was VAST, wonderfully well furnished, huge veranda as well. Good wifi. great location for the trendy part of Tana and as a base for sightseeing. The toilet in the reception room of the main building is possibly the most palatial on the planet. The... More

Antananarivo (Tana for short) is a bustling and chaotic capital city, dusty and not very clean, so it was with surprise that in the heart of the old city, I crossed the front door of the Pavillon de l'Emyrne. This is a charming, romantic hotel and a the same time -- while it is in the middle of town --... More

Loved this hotel, my room was just perfect. The shower is excellent with great shower power, rooms are nice clean and cosy. Rooms have TV's but channels are in French so didn't bother much. There is free wifi, but can be up and down quite a bit. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent with great variety and great tasting... More

A wonderfull boutique hotel with a perfect ambience and the best food we had for a fortnight in Madagascar. It also featured the best breakfast we had in Madagascar Unfortunately, i won't rate them as Excellent, because they had managed to forget about our reservation, done through Booking.com, so we had to fit into a standard-size room, rather than the...
