This is my third stay at this hotel in 4 years - I love it real old french house full of french Malagasy charm ( ie not a typical business hotel ) walking distance restaurants and now they have their own restaurant I recommend theie crem brûlée. as a treat they also offers a free massage . rooms are spacious... We didn't really know what to expect with the accommodation in Antananarivo and pulling into Le Pavillon we were a bit nervous as we usually stay in hotels rather than B&B type places, but it was great. The staff were helpful and welcoming, the room was huge with a nice balcony area and great bathroom. The whole place has free... More

We stayed here on two separate occasions during our trip to Madagascar with the fantastic Wildlife Worldwide. We had two different rooms, one on the first floor and one on the ground floor and both were very spacious and comfortable. The building itself is at the top of a very steep hill and although it is in the middle of a... We only spent one night here but would have loved to stay longer. We had quite a large room with a terrace looking out onto the quiet street. The hotel itself is in a lovely older home with unique architecture. The service was quite friendly and helpful. Unlike another hotel we stayed at in Tana, they were happy to provide... More

Stayed here on two separate occasions. two very different rooms, both spacious and pleasant. The second room in the annexe had a fully furnished outside area, with sofa, chairs and dining room table, cool and pleasant if a bit noisy. But very quiet at night when the door out to it was closed. on our first stay we left very... More

This was my a favorite of 4 hotels on my Madagascar trip and great value! I felt safe with 24 hour security and gates which is more than I can say for a couple of other supposedly upmarket places. They have a free spa service offering massages, manicures, pedicures and hair dressing. The owner is a nice French woman whose... More

We stayed for one night here at the beginning of our trip and were due to return for a night at the end, before Air Madagascar stranded us in Toliara on the way back to Tana. We found the hotel charming and the staff friendly and helpful. We had a room on the top floor – it is a bit... More

This is a great French colonial house turned " boutique" hotel which is in the process of upgrading. Rooms are interesting, but bathrooms too small. Sadly, our only night here was disturbed by lack of soundproofing between floors......every movement above made the furniture in our room rattle......and no hotel bed should contain any jumping insect! Staff are very nice and... More

A quiet, old but elegant hotel in Isoraka district. Lots fo steps and stairs (4 stories in all) to large comfortable rooms. Aircon and in room free wifi plus a safe in the room. Kettle and hairdryer can be asked for as well. Usual satellite TV with limited channels. Minibar and fridge too. Helpful efficient staff. Nice breakfast but no... More

If you are looking for lots of old world charm, this is the place, an old colonial house converted to a hotel with high ceilings and tight bathrooms added for modern convenience. Look for a room on a high floor both to avoid the squeaky floorboards of the rooms above and for the great views toward the rova if you're... More
