I spent 10 days at the Royal Grand and had great service, a lovely room, and an overall enjoyable experience. The only downside for me which would make me think twice about choosing the Royal Grand again, is the gym. The treadmills are over the hill and flat-out dangerous to run on. The free weights are a kind of random... More

Perched in the corner of the 15th street is a slice of quality and warm hospitality. The decor in the rooms and the quality of linen in the bathrooms and the attention to details is worth commending. Check out the coffee shop at the entrance and the sushi bar on the roof. I am coming back again and again.

I recently traveled to Monrovia for 6 weeks and stayed at the Royal Grand Hotel. This hotel by far beat any expectations of any hotel I imagined I would find here. The rooms are wonderful with incredibly comfortable beds. The restaurant serves great food, at the level of restaurants I frequent in the US. My favorite part, though, is the... More

I stayed in the original Royal. However, I was able to use the amenities in both hotels. I found the staff in both hotels to be friendly and efficient. As for housekeeping, the staff worked every day and did a great job of keeping both buildings clean. There were at least four different( indoor and outdoor) dining options between both... More

I've stayed at the Royal Grand on four occasions and I've also stayed at four other hotels, all of which are supposedly high quality facilities. The Royal Grand is hands down the best of all of them, and after spending years visiting Liberia I can honestly say that it's the best hotel in the capital of Monrovia. While it is... More

In March I stayed at the Royal Grand for the second time in the last two years. It has been a hard year for Liberia with Ebola and I visited again to support TackleEbola - a campaign to get rid of Ebola from West Africa. I always like staying at the Royal Grand. Friendly staff, lovely rooms, good location, and... More

The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating and very professional. The restaurant food is tasty, but a little pricey, however the food at the cafe downstairs is both reasonably priced and very nice. The high-speed wifi is ridiculously slow - you shouldn't need to refresh three times to open a simple webpage, not even in Liberia.

During the tough period in September 2014, when the Ebola epidemic was spiking, the Royal Grand Hotel provided me all possible comfort and warm welcome that enabled my work to help fight the epidemic. Many thanks to all staff! Carmem Pessoa

Stayed here for around a week while finding long-term accommodation. The hotel is modern, bright and clean with comfortable, good sized rooms and nice bathrooms. There is free WiFi and bottled water each day and a kettle and tea/coffee. The aircon is effective and quiet. The only disappointment was the breakfast which had a limited choice and the evening meals... More
