I transferred Metropolitan Plaza Hotel to this one and was extremely happy for the move. For just a few $ more per night I was able to get hot water and a comfortable bed. I stayed in a suite so maybe some of the other rooms aren't as nice. The biggest problems were that I often wasn't given new rolls... More

This Hotel of all the Hotels in the Monrovian Area has a lot of problems. The staff was helpful but the management was not. Rooms are run down and dirty and the food was cold and bad. I come to this area about three to four times and year and will NEVER stay here again

This is a good hotel by Monrovian standards. Hot water, wifi, breakfast included in the price ($133.50) which includes fruit, and a good tv connection to see Al-Jazeera. Another good thing is that it is about only 100 m from a pleasent beach. On the bad side, when paying, they gave me my change in Liberian dollars, using a rate... More

All things are relative and as such, the Provident is OK. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit shabby but clean. Hot water was there, but very low pressure. Room was quiet. Wifi worked. Laundry was returned promptly. Breakfast (included in room price) was served quickly...but very limited choices. Restaurant dinner menu very limited (fish or chicken,... More

What can I say about a Hotel that does not understand that you must have clean rooms for its customers. The place has a very "BAD" smell to it. I talk to the manager and he told me the owner does not give them any pay and that he and his wife just come to get the daily deposit. I... More

I have been all over the world and this is a hotel you must stay away from. The management and staff have no clue on how to run a hotel. The room were dirty and smell. You ask if they could fix the smell that was in my room and they just sit around just talking about how bad the... More

Following eleven trips to Ghana, I made my first trip to Liberia last month. This was the worst hotel I've ever encountered. The staff was most friendly and helpful, but the accommodations were awful. Bathroom was dirty and the window was open to the outside - fortunately there were no mosquitoes when we checked in. Electricity was sporadic as was... More

I just came back from Monrovia from a conference and stayed at Provident hotel with my colleague. The location of the hotel is good, away from the noisiest streets and the ocean view from the room was great! The room was spacious and very clean. We had running water and hot water all the time, as an experienced Africa traveller... More
