General: The Lancer’s Inn has the potential to be a very good place to stay but it lets itself down by many silly, small things which could easily be fixed. I will cover most of these below but there are two things which are annoying immediately you arrive in the hotel; • Payment in Advance: you have to pay for... More

Travelling to Lesotho, one has to stay at Lancers inn. It's a really nice place: good accomodations, placed aroud nice sunny gardens. There is lots of staff walking around (as everywhere in Lesotho), but they are all very polite and gentile. Lancers Inn has a professional image, for Lesotho standards. The 'boss' is a friendly guy, who is always willing... More

Lancer's Inn is a shining oasis in Maseru. It is situated right in the center of town just about, with easy access to Pioneer Mall which has a Spur and Ocean Basket restaurants. The Inn itself is clean and well kept. The pool is sparkling and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The rooms are simple, but very clean and nicely... More

I stayed here on business and was quite satisfied. The rondavel room was clean and quiet, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the overall value was exactly what I expected. There was a group of noisy guests one night (3:30 am!), so sleep was impossible for a while. That group went to bed early the next night,... More

Great setting in the centre of town. Not too noisy considering the venue, but one night the noise from the local night club went on till about 4 in the morning. The room was a rondawel with an uneven, sloping floor and a thatch roof. Spacious and nicely decorated with a fridge, which is always convenient for longer stays. The... More

Location is perfect. Rate is reasonable. Right in downtown. Grocery store is very close. Post office with stamps on the second floor as souvenier just across the street. Good Gym with swimming pool is about 1 km. French cafe is also there. Very good and friendly service. Big plus is happy hour once weekly "MEET other guests". Hotel also has... More

Clean, centrally located and reasonably priced food for what you get. However, when it comes to the service, I was very disappointed. My stay at Lancers was split into two. Going to the mountains for a 2 day trip, I left a shirt behind in the room. I called and emailed reception to make them aware and have them set... More

This is a very hard hotel to rate. The owners and staff try hard, but don't always succeed... On the good side: very reasonable prices, great location in town, nice atmosphere, nice pool, friendly staff, good restaurant. On the negative side: spotty (paid) internet, rooms in some state of disrepair, no decent channels on TV, staff - while trying hard... More

I've stayed at the Lancers Inn many times over the past years. It is quite pricey - compared to the many B+B's available. But it is well organised, clean + efficient. In winter time - some of the rooms are even 'liveable' (= heated). Recently - they seem to have introduced a daily "Happy Hour" - only for hotel residents.... More

Considering this is in the centre of Maseru, it is surprisingly quiet. But trust me, you'll never find it unless you do your research beforehand! There are rooms within the main building and lodges/houses available. Service is very attentive and friendly. Rooms were very standard but good for the area and kept very clean. Wifi is available at an additional... More
