Location is perfect. Rate is reasonable. Right in downtown. Grocery store is very close. Post office with stamps on the second floor as souvenier just across the street. Good Gym with swimming pool is about 1 km. French cafe is also there. Very good and friendly service. Big plus is happy hour once weekly "MEET other guests". Hotel also has... More

Clean, centrally located and reasonably priced food for what you get. However, when it comes to the service, I was very disappointed. My stay at Lancers was split into two. Going to the mountains for a 2 day trip, I left a shirt behind in the room. I called and emailed reception to make them aware and have them set... More

This is a very hard hotel to rate. The owners and staff try hard, but don't always succeed... On the good side: very reasonable prices, great location in town, nice atmosphere, nice pool, friendly staff, good restaurant. On the negative side: spotty (paid) internet, rooms in some state of disrepair, no decent channels on TV, staff - while trying hard... More

I've stayed at the Lancers Inn many times over the past years. It is quite pricey - compared to the many B+B's available. But it is well organised, clean + efficient. In winter time - some of the rooms are even 'liveable' (= heated). Recently - they seem to have introduced a daily "Happy Hour" - only for hotel residents.... More

Considering this is in the centre of Maseru, it is surprisingly quiet. But trust me, you'll never find it unless you do your research beforehand! There are rooms within the main building and lodges/houses available. Service is very attentive and friendly. Rooms were very standard but good for the area and kept very clean. Wifi is available at an additional... More

First piece of advice about this lovely hotel - it's not clearly marked from the street, so if you're driving there, be sure to get very precise directions. I spent at least 20 minutes driving in circles in downtown Maseru looking for it before I gave up and asked someone. ( I guess not asking for directions is a guy... More

The Lancer's Inn is in the center of Lesotho's small capital of Maseru. With easy access to everything you'd need in the city, you won't find a better place to stay. And, it's the only hotel where you absolutely get what you pay for. It's the only hotel with a knack for hospitality. I stayed at the Lancer's Inn for... More

Lancer's Inn is in the heart of Maseru, the capital of Lesotho. It is a very charming inn with self catering cottages, rose bed studded gardens and a most friendly staff. Many of the guests are on relatively long term stays, and there is a sense of community and every Tuesday evening there are is a free cocktail and hors... More

I have stayed at Lancers Inn several times, and have always enjoyed it. It's homely and has the personal touch that the "big box" hotels lack. Good service. Very well located for government offices. Restaurant is also good. Varied rooms, from thatched rondavels to larger "flats" for longer stays.
