I wish to make some comments to restaurant in this hotel, I mean Tribes restaurant. I visited this place 2 times and need to say that food was good. Both times I got different fish- fresh, tasty, they cook it right upon they got an order. Location is nice, too close to downtown, and hotel is situated at beach area... More

This is a pavilion-type hotel with ocean view; very quiet but very close to the (old) city centre. Walking distance to many sights. The food in the restaurant is delicious, especially the local dishes. Downside is that although the hotel is on the beach, the water is not suited for swimming (pollution). Still, everybody does so on the weekend...

Hotels in Accra are terribly over-priced for what you get. The Afia African Village is about half the price of many other choices. The rooms are fairly spartan, but functional. Bed, shower, toilet, AC. Internet worked fine. The service is great, particularly at the front desk. Very nice people! I stayed for nearly 4 days and ate all breakfasts, all... More

For those who are beach loving and enjoy the beauty of the sea shore at the door step this is one of the coolest and calm hotel having good food and services. But there can be maintenance problems such as ac not working.

If this hotel underwent somewhat of a revamp, it might be able to justify charging 180 USD per night for a double room with an extra bed for a child, as the place does have many charms. However, as the rooms presently are, the price just seems inflated. The room we stayed in (no.20) did not exactly take your breath... More

I wasn't entirely happy with my stay at Afia African Village, although I knew when I booked this that it was not going to be like the expensive leading options but I at least thought that the key elements that I would expect from any hotel would be present. Despite this, there were certain things I did enjoy such as... More

Set on the beach it really doesn't feel like you're in the capital. But a beach resort right next to the major sights but is is exactly what the Afia resort. It's not often that you can watch the sunrise and set replete with a vista of fishing boats this close to a capital. It really feels a world away.... More

This is a very clean, modern and comfortable hotel. Great bar and restaurant with wonderful food. Situated right on the beach. We moved from Kokrobite to this hotel and weren't disappointed. Shops and other things within easy walking distance, or get a taxi ordered for you by the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing view from our bedroom, which also had a balcony for sit outs. The double room was very clean and spacious compared to other places we lodged Breakfast was very good and served on time. And staff were friendly and chatty. Good for any type of trip. Don't bother going to the beach. It was very dirty with lots of... More

After travelling in Ghana for a month Afia African Village was the perfect way to end our travels. Lauren, the manager, was so helpful and she couldn't do enough for you. The rest of the hotel staff were just as accommodating! The rooms were comfortable and clean and had everything you needed. The restaurant served brilliant food at good prices.... More
