Overpriced, unaccommodating, & uncomfortable... The New Haven Hotel delivers if you're lookin' to have a bad time. In four months of travel, this was one of, if not THE, worst place we stayed. The fan in our room didn't work and no effort was made to move us or fix the situation (temperatures ranged between 94-100 F during our stay).... More

My wife and I had our room broken into (With a key that is. No forceable entry.) within 20 minutes of checking in. Staff had asked to declare our valuables which was weird and which of course we did not do. After quickly leaving to get some food we returned to our room only to find it ransacked and several... We stayed here before heading off to do voluntary work on both occasions and first found it via a lonely planet book recommendation. Its great if you are just looking for a room... More

This little, simple hotel is a great local place in Accra. A very good alternative to the pretty much touristic neighbourhood Osu! Simple but clean rooms, cool staff. Its location is close to Circle. That's the place where all the national buses leave. And it is also close to the airport.
