Hard wood floors, easy to sleep, tropical gardens bedecked with orchids and bougainvillea, charming staff, peacocks strutting around; breakfast options are of both the 'European' and 'great British' variety with good coffee; dinner menu not long but very tasty. Internet works! Overall a pleasant stay and oasis from the Accra traffic

I am staying at Esther's for a second time. The rooms are clean and quiet and the staff are totally wonderful. There is a family feel to the place and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Whatever you need, they seem to arrange. Food here is great but if you want a change... More

I spent a few nights in Esther's hotel. The service is family-like and very friendly! Rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is delicious. The price for the room is reasonable (all good hotels in Accra are expensive). The hotel is just a few minutes walking distance from a supermarket, cafes and restaurants and the area is safe. I... The Hotel is own by a German Culture and therefore is kept as such, most of everything you will find there is European especially the food. The Reception is spacious and nice. I was there with colleagues from Germany and they loved it. No complaints on nothing. They said the hotel was just perfect, they did not need anything extra.... More

I stayed at Esther's July to August 2014 for the third time. Once I discovered this boutique hotel years ago, I've never stayed in any other Accra hotel and I have previously reviewed it. It's like coming back to visit family again minus the family dysfunction. The staff include Atta, who can be a charming rascal and cheer you up... More

I stayed for 10 nights at the Esther's hotel and I felt like home from the moment I entered. It started with a challenge as I mixed up reservations and was supposed to arrive a day later. Nevertheless, the staff arranged for me a stay at a nearby place for one night. I still was able to enjoy the lobby... More

Wherever I travel–Ghana or otherwise–I try to find accommodations with character, theme or personality, like the unique Esther’s Hotel at which I am staying now. It has warmth and individual charm that most hotels could not possibly achieve in an urban environment such as Accra, among them the peacocks that wander the grounds and episodically take off and perch on... Wonderful hotel! Great service from polite, friendly and helpful staff in a beautiful hotel with great rooms, situated in a nice, quiet area of Accra! Highly recommend this hotel! Although it's a little pricey I think you get great value for your money! The staff were also helpful in recommending a great restaurant for us, and got us a taxi!... More

I visited Accra on business in July (2012) and was recommended this hotel by some acquaintances who live nearby. The staff were very polite and courteous, the room was spacious and clean. Despite not having a full blown restaurant, the breakfast was ample and delicious and snack were available at most hours. Additionally, at the front of the hotel is... More
