Broken windows, exposed wires, faulty circuits, broken lamps & TVs, broken elevators, broken springs in beds, cold breakfast, power outtages, intermittent wifi. I can't understate my disappointment. This was the rudest, most filthy, regrettable hotel during our stay in Addis--or in my life. Mexico square is extremely unsafe. A thief attempted to throw the door to our car open and... More

Nothing much to say, the good days are long gone: Overpriced, lack of custumer service, noisy (minibus concentration), outdated in every way Hard to find anything to praise the hotel for apart from the central location.

This hotel is not the best hotel in Addis Ababa. The rooms are not that clean.....too old fashion, the interiors are not good. The staff likes to ask for something from the guest. One of the receptionist tried in vain asking me to give him my mobile phone. One staff asked me for money...everything the staff is doing are taking... More

Nothing exactly special about the hotel but then again, it is in Ethiopia which isn't exactly renowned for 5 star accommodation. To be honest, I'd far rather stay here than one of the american franchise hotels also available as you get more of a feel of local culture. Restaurant and bar is fine; good if you can't stomach any more... More

We just spent 5 nights at the Wabe Shebelle while in Addis getting ready for a Habitat for Humanity build in Debre Berhan. The hotel is a bit dated, but the excellent staff more than makes up for it. Very friendly front desk and security staff, great restaurant, and the room was always kept clean by the excellent housekeeping staff.... More

Stayed here with Habitat for Humanity group- they apparently put their teams up here. Ok. Internet in lobby. No elevator to room I stayed in so had to lug bag up many stairs, but had a great bathroom at the end of the climb. Seems to be builtin several sections so thing overall room quality is the luck of the... More

Got put up here on business and regretted it the night I got there. Room is spacious but hotel dodgy. Breakfast ok but the bed was out of shape, the tv worked if you held the cable to it and the remote wasnt working and I never saw it again when I asked the staff to replace it. Didnt have... More
