This small hotel is nothing fancy but considering the area, I found the accommodations and staff warm and welcoming. Beds are firm and street noise can be a problem but for the price and the hospitality it is a solid bet.

I stayed at the Soramba for a week. Overall, I found the experience very reasonable. In terms of location, the hotel was well situated for me as I was doing some work at the National Museum, which is only about 10 minutes away by cab. When I arrived, the concierge was extremely helpful and arranged for me to get an... More

Was chaufferred to this hotel by shuttle from Ethiopia's Bole International airport upon nomination of the hotel by Ethiopian Airlines. There had been a long connecting flight delay.Rooms are average but clean.Hotel location not the best with poor outside view unless you are fascinated with tin roof houses.stayed at room 504 whos balcony faced the tin roof structures.service was fast and... Our first stop in Ethiopia. Wasn't expecting much hotel-wise but figured the capital city would have decent lodging and services. Let's start with the good: we were allowed to check-in at 8 am vs the official check-in time of 3 pm. The rest: The first room we were given had a whole wall covered with peeling paint from a leak,... More

I was guest at this hotel for two weeks in November. It was by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel I have been to. The only reason I stayed for that long was because they made me pay all of it at check in and refused to refund my money when I wanted to leave... More

This hotel has a high fence and guards, which actually feel good when you venture out into the streets. There are 2 computers, only 1 worked while we were there, and this is the internet. No wifi. The room itself was spacious and clean, with a double bed (hard) made with top and bottom sheets, and a blanket. There was... More

The hotel is old and has a certain charm however that's as good as it gets. The staff although pleasant have a poor working knowledge of English. The bathrooms are horrible as the water returns from the outlet to haunt your "clean" feet. The carpets, furniture and linen are both old and dirty. Internet access is poor and the advertised... I spend a few nights at this Hotel and I strongly reccomended! The personnel and services are really good! They offer free pick-up from Bole Airport! The food on the restaurant it is good and not very expensive! The rooms are clean and nice! They have an PC with internet connection on the Lobby! Enjoy it!

First things first, I stayed at this hotel from October 9th - 17th. More than once, I expressed my disappointment with management regarding the false advertising of Wi-Fi being available in the rooms. I asked them to contact Expedia (who I used for my booking) and have that amenity removed. I have waited this long to write the review in... More

I stayed in the Soramba on two separate occasions 5 days apart. For my first stay I arrived at 9.00am, and the reception happily looked after my bags while I went for a walk around Addis to pass the time until my room was ready - and it was ready early, to my relief! The room was good; clean and... More
