I believe this is billed (and priced) as a 5 Star hotel. That results in expectations, which, as others have noted, simply are not met. The biggest failing was the Internet. As others have noted, it was inconsistent. Sometimes it worked just fine (I am writing this on the hotel WIFI.) Other times it was down, and few things are... More

It is sort of ok, in particular when you landed in the worst hotel ever, the grand yordanos, from where we escaped. Food is ok, average, nothing special. Same with the coffee. The breakfast is ok but been in much better intercontinental hotels in the world where the variety was much more than this one, as well as the quality.... More

I stayed for 3 nights for a business conference that was taking place at the hotel. There were a few positive aspects to the hotel - namely the staff, the hotel is popular with locals (typically large hotels out price locals), the rooms have balconies (but my door would not lock), and there is an iron and ironing board in... Stayed for a week, the rooms are good and comfortable. Red rose and chocolate from housekeeping in the afternoon everyday was a pleasant surprise. Food in restaurant needs more variety, specially when there are many other very good hotels close by. Good location to move around, taxis are available all the time. Sound of piano a bit in high volume... More

This was my first trip to Ethiopia, and the hotel was chosen for me as it was a working trip. All things considered, I thought the hotel was superb. Some things, such a wifi could be a little slow at times, but I never had a real problem getting online. I found the hotel sometimes offered me the respite that... More

rooms are good, lavatories needs maintenance, no hot water in bathrooms, piano voice at the lobby is too loud to the extent that it might disturb your sleep, breakfast varaities are enough, yet still one of the best hotels in addis

In a 10 day stay internet was down 4 days(stock answer: Ethio Telecom are working on it), 2 ATMs were out of service for 3 days, all 3 news channels not working for 4 days, food awful with the wrong order delivered 1/3rd of the time with v.little effort to fix the many shortfalls. Will definitely NOT stay here again.... More

I was privileged to be hosted by the Hotel Intercontinentaladdis for for the whole of the last working week and I must say I was happy. Having had a relatively good stay last time at a different hotel, I was lucky to have been booked by our country office at this hotel. I arrived at about 11 and even though... More

The staff in the hotel were excellent - super friendly and the hotel is an international standard, very nice roof bar. However, my shower was always cold and no pressure. My wifi didn't work and IT never came up to fix it. Not impressed. I feel like it was very overpriced for what I got.

Being here for 3 nights on business travel. Rooms are comfortable and the staff is kind. Food: both breakfast and dinner were good, spa and swimming pool just ok. In the nearby there is the UN conference centre.
