I Arrived at 3:00 am. Lobby is filled with drunk working girls! Not impressive at all... Rooms are like bungalows. with dim lights to reach room. Bugs by the hundreds on light pole. Room was OK food OK.

During my last visit to N'Djamena I stayed at the Novotel. I was harassed at the international airport by the local customs who confiscated my luggage on a totally corrupt and trumped up reason. Thanks to the Novotel hotel management i later managed to reclaim, with some financial "greasing" my kidnapped luggage. Needless to say that my visit to Chad... More

Clearly, Novotel company is letting this property slide as they are building a new hotel in Ndjamena. I don't ask for much when getting to faraway African cities, ,but when you pay over $200 a night, it's fair to expect the advertised "free internet" - we had 24 hours where the hotel didn't have any of the "coupons" required to... Upon arrival at the airport of N'Djamena, I had a confirmed shuttle-service to the Hotel: It was not there. No apologies, nothing. Checking in my room: The sink in the bathroom was so worn-out/dirty that you didn't dare to wash out your shaving brush and the air conditioning, although it was in good order, had no remote control to regulate... I cannot even begin to fathom why accor still lets this hotel sit in their chain. I do understand the relativity at play when it comes to choosing hotels in N'djamena but honestly, when you pay close to $ 300 for a room, you expect at least, a tidy room, clean sheets, a duvet, working air-conditioning, internet etc. i can... The hotel is very expensive, the rooms have been revamped but are shabby and the toilets are basic. The restaurant is very shabby and needs a new carpet. food is mediocre, no fresh juice (in africa !!!!!). The personnal behind the bars and in restos are nice but the real problem lays with the staff at the desk who are... More

This hotel should be urgently renovated. Positive points: - Huge garden, with very nice pool Negative points: - Very limited choice of food (buffet in the inside restaurant, and mostly snacks on the terrace) - Very noisy when planes land and take off (hotel is 5 minutes drive from the airport). - Very bad wifi in the reception and rooms... I just stayed one night, so maybe I didn't get the full experience, but I honestly don't understand all the bad reviews. Yes, it's not dernier cri. But it has a nice old Africa atmosphere. The rooms are big, my bed wasn't so bad. Bathroom fixtures a bit cheap, but everything worked fine. Wifi worked for me but all I... More

I've ever stayed in!! Reception is modern and quite welcoming, but it is when you get to the bedroom is goes rapidly downhill!! I thought being a Novotel is would be of a high standard My room was very basic, paint coming off wall, Aircon working but not blowing cold air this meant for a sweaty, uncomfortable night sleep, also...
