I spent one night here and we loved this place. Even if we did a late check in, Rosalina managed to prepare a nice breakfast for both of us. The room is clean and nice (the price is affordable) and it is close to everything but don't expect too much since you are not paying for a five star hotel.

The negative ratings here really need to be adjusted for unrealistic expectations: the Rosymar Inn is a family-run residencial (B&B, guesthouse, pension, etc) not a luxury hotel. The facilities are simple but clean and better than many similar places I've stayed at in Europe. Having spent a couple of nights in other hotels in Praia (which is on the expensive... More

Rosalina's place is quite an experience, if you are flexible and relaxed and open to the fact that really you are staying in someone's home. This is not a hotel; but all the better for it, if you value meeting interesting people over the guarantee of a perfect shower at all hours. The location in the middle of Plato is... More

This is really more of a review of the hotel owner, Rosalina, then of the hotel. She is quite simply the best. She will - for a small fee - pick you up from the airport or dock, give you great advise, be flexible about checking in/out and cooks great meals. The hotel itself is undergoing some renovations currently, but... More

Rosaline is very helpful and certainly make you feel at home , However the rooms are not a very good standard , and not clean enough , hot water and showers are also a poor standard. I would suggest this hotel needs a bit of TLC . When your paying for a room then you are entitled to a certain... More

The location is on a quiet back street smack in the centre of town and the price reflects the value, but the real gem of this place is the warm, friendly and slightly eccentric proprietress, who's really willing to walk the extra mile to make your stay as memorable and enjoyable as possible. Rosalina, a Cape Verdian recently returned from... More

Rosaline is a friendly, helpful person who created a nice and very comfortable place in the middle of Praia. It is clean and the rooms colourful. The breakfast is more than you can expect, coffee, fresh juice and handmade omlettes. We really felt at home :)

I'm giving the RosyMar an excellent review due to the owner Rosalee and her son Isaac - they where beyond helpful on our recent trip to Cabo Verde from California, US. We were overwhelmed when we first got off the plane and headed here because we heard the owner spoke English and we needed some guidance. She took us in... More

I booked to stay at this b&b after reading the reviews on Trip advisor. The friendliness of the staff does not compare to the other places available in Cape Verde. Dont expect hot running water unless you request for it when you are booking a room, and even then do not expect the confirmation email to be truthful - I... More

I stayed here with my wife on the last night of our one-week trip to Cape Verde. We arrived later in the day and left very early the next morning, so I didn't spend much time at the hotel. Here's the useful stuff I noted: The staff was very helpful. They provided advice to us via email before our arrival... More
