I traveled to Ouagadougou in late Sept 16. The staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. I was there for 5 days during my stay and stayed at another hotel. But, the service was great and many of the staff did understand basic English which was great for communication. The rooms were quaint and satisfied the need and security was also great. I felt safe and found the Burkinabe people to be the most friendliest people ever. The internet was poor and the few channels of TV are all in French, but I was in a French speaking country. I saw a review that the internet was patchy so I knew what to expect. My friend and I received a nice gift from the hotel that made us feel special. I cant wait to come back in December when a few others from the US are coming. We will stay at this hotel for sure!!!! By the way, we didn't get a chance to eat at the hotel until the last day there and the food was amazing. I had this soup that I've been on the internet searching for. So delicious. If you get the guys at the front desk they are awesome. Young "JayZee" is the best!!!!!!!!!…

The Faso Hotel is conveniently located only 5 minutes from the airport. Rooms are basic but clean with good hot water, air conditioning and small balconies. Food is reasonable though not brilliant. Breakfasts vary a little depending on how full the hotel is. But include fruit, pastries and a hot dish or two. There is a small nice meeting room with a board table that seats 16. There is also a small garden outdoor seating area but this is permanently occupied by soldiers who provide hotel security. The really big issue is just how unbelievably pathetic the wifi is - there are a few choices, but all are very slow.

Recently I have visited faso hotel for a short stay and I am feeling much satisfied with the facilities available in this property. They are offering good rooms in the economic range. Room service quick and fast and staff I polite in nature. So overall its value for money.

I stayed a week here and found it nice but low value for money. Well located in proximity to the UN, but for 55,000 FCFA it's pricey. Staff were great and attentive, food was simple but ready quickly and completely fine.

I stayed here for 3 nights on an intensive business trip. This is a very well located hotel in a very quiet and safe area of Ouaga, next to the World Bank office. The room had everything that was basically necessary. There was a leak in the bathroom but staff acted promptly to resolve problem once alerted. All staff members were courteous, efficient and smiley, especially the cleaner and the gentleman at the bar where I had refreshingly cold burkinabe beer after every long work journey. For food, the pizzeria restaurant opposite 30m down the road was quiet and excellent, the best of all restaurants I tried in Ouaga.

Excellent for a 3-star hotel. Stayed from July 4th to July 21, 2014 Excellent room (304), nice size, excellent bed, bathroom, flat screen tv, cold ac, hot water. Very strong internet connection! Downtown Ouagadougou, on a quiet street, 5 minutes from the airport. Hotel is very clean, and staff very nice and helpful.

Nicely located down a quiet street, across from a decent restaurant and a reasonable walk to a supermarket. There are fruit and veg carts just down the road for fresh produce. Not much else in the area, though that makes it good for jogging (if you're into that). Rooms are small and some are internal, with windows that look onto the corridor. No mosquito nets or fans; as the space is small, the air conditioning units are a bit overwhelming. No gym or other amenities, though there is a bar and lounge and a restaurant. Breakfast is poxy and costs $12 so avoid it if you can! It's not worth it (and it isn't included in the room price), only a thin omelet, cup of yoghurt and stale croissant.

Let me caveat this by saying I travel a lot in rural areas developing countries and so I'm happy when I get to stay anywhere with a decent bed, hot water and a cold AC. The FASO gets five stars on all three accounts. Management was quick to offer sympathy and help when something was stolen out of my room. It was just a bag of gummi bears in the nightstand drawer - no biggie - but management treated it as if something very valuable had been taken; they told me only the housekeeping manager would clean my room from that day forward. Otherwise, this is your average hotel. If you get stuck in one of the rooms where the only window faces the hallway (like I did) just ask to move and the management will be happy to accommodate you. My final room was just a bit bigger than my bed. The bathroom was comparatively spacious - about half the size of the room. The Internet connection was always strong when I sat in my room on the second floor. The restaurant menu is extensive but most of the food seemed unavailable most of the time. Also, the food was overpriced. I ended up walking to the supermarket a few times and buying my own provisions.…

The Good: Room clean, bed above average compared to most African hotels. The Bad: Internet is non-existent in the rooms. Okay (comes and go) in the lobby and restaurant. Restuarant - One write said it was 4,000 CFA for the ceral, breads and coffee. They charged me 6,000. Dinner is like the internet - non-existent. I order a cheeseburger one night. I was told they didn't have the bread. I then ordered some shrimp. They didn't have it. They couldn't tell me what they had, and I wasn't going to play their games. I asked for the cheeseburger without bread. Everyone seemed to be happy, and it was good. Next night I ordered an avocado and tuna salad. This was awful. It was an avocado sliced with some tuna dripped on it. Not really a salad. However, since I had work to do, and again, no internet in my room, I ate it. Last night I ordered a cheeseburger. Again, they didn't have it..actually, they didn't have the meat. I ordered shrimp (maybe they got it in). No. They told me to order a salad. If it was a salad, then fine. But I wasn't going to spend the equivalent of $6 USD for another cut up avocado. I went to my room and got some fruits, and ate that in the restaurant. Two guys watched me. One asked me something, but his English wasn't good, and my French is equally bad.…

This is a reasonable hotel for Ouagadougou, not otherwise. My room was only a little larger than the bed, the bathroom was almost bigger, but with no amenities, other than a cheap soap. There is a tv in the room and wifi is actually not too bad. Aircon is running noisy but fine. The restaurant appears to have a solid choice of food, but most things are never available. I didn't interact much with the staff and they haven't tried hard either, so I can't comment on the hospitality. I saw a small geiko running in the corridors - keeps the mosquitoes away. The location is central - in the embassy area and not far from the airport. Several good and reasonably priced restaurants are in the area. It's pricey for what it offers. But when you look at the other hotels in town, oh well, just swallow it, relax and enjoy.…
