The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. I was thrilled to be back and welcomed so warmly. The hotel setting adds to the over all experience, and is a place I look forward to visiting again soon!

My husband and I stayed at Le Karite Bleu with our teen-aged daughter for two nights. It is a lovely, safe, clean and quiet place in the middle of a chaotic city. The staff is helpful, and even allowed us to return to the hotel to shower before our late night flight. The rooms have lots of character and are... More

I stayed here in 2013 on three separate occasions (and in different rooms). Each room has a unique feel to it and the decor is themed after a particular tribe (if I remember correctly I stayed in the Peule room, the Touareg room and one more). All rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds, good showers and airconditioning, which is... More

When paying the two nights' stay before leaving, I noticed that local money had been stolen from my handbag from the locked room during I was taking lunch in the garden! No credit cards are accepted, just cash and there re no safety boxes in the rooms. The staff was as if nothing strange had happen!! and I had to... More

I stayed at Le Karite Blue a few of years ago in 2010 and have been meaning to write a review ever since. This was an oasis of calm and a real delight. I was travelling on my own and stayed here for a couple of nights after a long and dusty trip from Ghana and was very happy with... More

The Karite Bleu is a wonderful place to stay. Immaculately clean, beautiful garden, great breakfast with real coffee (no NesCafe)! The staff were incredibly helpful. They dealt graciously with my very bad French and even offered to let me take a shower before leaving for the airport even though I had checked out hours before. I wouldn't stay anywhere else... I stayed there twice: 2008 and 2011. Not in 2013, as in my review. Always in October. Service is - as all Burkinabes - friendly. But it is slow (not a problem; wind down a bit). Peacocks roam around the well maintained garden. No food in the evening, but you can ask for delivery (if you are dead hungry, you'll... More

Le Karite Blue is an oasis in the Zone du bois, a great value, and so much better service and value than hotels on Avenue Nkrumah or other main roads. Loved it, and would go back any day! Only negatives are: 1- hot water's pressure would sometime's drop if other guests were showering at the same time, but THERE WAS... More

This guest house is a pleasant oasis in the city. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated. (My bathroom was quite large.... almost as big as the room itself.) Everything in the bathroom worked fine except for very low water pressure my last morning there. There is both an air conditioner and a ceiling fan (which I preferred). Staff is... More

Great to be back again, and the garden is more exquisite than before. More welcoming shade, in fact near complete for the entire garden, a real canopy of green. The art has changed, and really very interesting works again, featuring the local talents (Interesting to know the owners have now set up a sister gallery in Providence, France). The old... More
