I stayed at hotel Yibi on a business trip. The location is perfect right on the main drag. The room is clean and has good enough amenities. Nothing fancy. Food is very average but next door there is Cappucino, a cafe that provides excellent food both mornings and evenings. What is most bothersome though is the noise. There are 2... More

Hotel Yibi in Ouagadougou, a nice hotel in a wrong environment A centrally located hotel, with WIFI, swimming pool, a restaurant and bar, sounds like a very convenient place, and it offers rooms at a competitive price. However the hotel is located in the centre of the city that in evening hours is too dangerous to be. Just in front... More

I checked out the website for the hotel and watched their video before departing for Burkina Faso and I was looking forward to staying at Hotel Yibi. Unfortunately, the hotel room did not match up to the standard portrayed. My room had a dark brown carpet, dark cream walls and dark green furnishings which made the room look very dark.... More

With its average price and good location, this hotel fits to short stays, mainly business. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and comfy. There may be some little noise in the night due to nightclubs down the street. Restaurant's food is very good though the waiters could smile a bit more. Internet is OK, but we've experienced water cuts and some... More

Well situated on Ave Kwame Nkrumah. Agree with previous post that basic French is needed and the English menu seems long gone. Rooms are small but clean. Bathroom was large. We had no issues with the Wi-fi. Beds were comfy, though the pillows quite thin. Pool was pleasant though lacking in pool chairs. Restaurant is adequate without being good and... More

The hotel is of a reasonable standard for a capital city of a less developed African country. it is quite well located, only being a short distance from the airport (but not too close). The room was clean enough and big enough. The air conditioner worked and there were a few TV channels. Wireless internet worked for most of the... More

Stayed at Yibi before and after going on a field research trip to the Sahel region of Burkina Faso. Rooms are pretty basic, but clean and very comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. However, basic french skills are a must when communicating with hotel employees. Breakfast is basic. And the garden/yard with a medium sized pool is lovely. Also, the... More

I visit Ouaga about twice a year for in-country stays between 2-4 weeks. After having done quite a few hotels around the town centre, Yibi has become my chosen "pied à terre". It is not perfect, but has the necessary perks to make Ouaga liveable during my stays. In no particular order : the rooms are clean, well arranged and... More

Located along the main street coming from the airport and convenient for banks and restaurants. Yibi is a small hotel with no pretentions. Rooms are comfortable - but have very thin doors. The restaurant has its menu in both French and English, - a left over from when it was the Hon. British Consuls base. There is a small friendly... More
