We have been using the pool several times during our stay in Ouagadougou. The pool is large and has an area which is ideal for children. There is a guard who is taking care and keeping an eye on the people swimming. Very nice staff. The price for using the pool is also fine.

I stayed in the Azalai for almost a month in September of 2012. It is considered one of the nicest hotels in Ouaga but I'm not convinced it's earned that reputation. Hotel Azalai is OK for Africa, but would not even get ** in Europe. The staff is friendly (especially the doormen) and the pool is fine (not Olympic as advertised), but the rooms are not the best: old basic furniture, small bathrooms, erractic water supply, no wifi in some rooms. The hotel is in a good location and the staff are very helpful. The outdoor pool area is great but the rooms could use an upgrade. Some nights the noise in the hallway was loud and occasionally cigarette smoke came into the room, especially at night. Overall I would stay here again although the options in Ouaga are not overwhelming.
