I spent a weekend away in Mokolodi. This is perfect place to have a break from noisy city. The rooms are comfortable, kitchen well equipped, it's clean and safe. Gaborone is easy accessible and if you you need a bit of adrenaline you can walk to the nearby, good restaurant at Mokolodi Reserve, The owners are very helpful.

Our stay here was amazing. The staff were great and were always very kind to us. We stayed in tents in the winter months so they helped us stay warm as possible with extra blankets and water balloon heaters. There is a great kitchen and hot showers. Access to wifi which is the fastest I've experienced in my 2 months... More

I´m from Brazilian and stayed at Mokolodi Backapackers on sept 2014. The place is very confortable, clean, safe. Speciall thanks for the owner, who is very kind with his guests. It´s walking distance (if you like to walk) from Mokolodi Park. This is one of the best backpackers youth hostel I´ve ever seen on my life. You stay have an... More

What a great find and wonderful to see such a well run business. We stayed in one of the chalets which were comfortable, clean and good value for money. Hendrick the owner was genuinely interested in our 5 month trip and was eager to help and ensure that we had a comfortable stay. There is everything that a traveler needs... More

A BIG thank to Sam, Albert and Hendrik of the Mokolodi Backpackers! I spend another week there on my way to Zimbabwe and without a doubt it is one of the best backpackers to stay at! It is an oasis in the middle of the desert! Peaceful, quiet and it restores the soul! It is clean, the staff is helpful... More

We stayed at Mokolodi Backpackers over the Easter holiday and it was an excellent option for many reasons apart from how affordable it was. We stayed in unit two with a private bathroom and kitchen, the unit was clean and well serviced and honestly speaking great value for money. The service was exceptional, from booking to arrival and during our... More

A neat and tidy backpacker with a good eye for detail, very helpful and friendly staff set in a pleasantly rustic, garden environment, which included resident ducks, chickens, two friendly dogs and a rather overweight pig. Good facilities with three overnight options and value for money.

We were supposed to visit the Mokolodi backpackers in March 2015. When we ordered we were helped by very polite and sweet Sonne, she answered all our questions and helped us choose the best alternative for our group, 7 persons.Unfortunately one in our group got very ill and we had to cancel our booking, and we were still met by... Never mind the fact that Mokolodi Backpackers is the only option for budget travelers to Gaborone, the place is amazing of its own right. The staff are very helpful: 1) Communication prior to our visit was prompt and informative. They answered all of my questions and made me feel prepared for our visit. 2) The staff arranged for two taxis... More

Great little place about fifteen minutes driving from the city center. It's better if you have you're own car as once you get there the only way to get back out is to call a taxi. You should bring your own food, they have a great little kitchen but no restaurant. We were lucky though and the restaurant in the... More
