Room is OK, Breakfast is OK, neighborhood is OK, price is OK. But wait - this would be an average review, except that we are talking about a place in Luanda, Angola, one of the dirtiest cities I´ve ever been. OK here means a lot !!! :-)

A great guesthouse with a great staff, great service, great location, and a memory for life! The rooms are very nice, you will have a great night's sleep. Don't miss this place if you ever travel to Luanda -- it's worth every penny.

Having been to Luanda many times these years, and stayed in many hotels, the Rouxinol is by far the best place: clean, friendly staff, great food, and close to the US Embassy for those of you working there during their stay. I recently heard that Luanda is the most expensive city in the world, higher than even Osaka, London, Geneva..!... More

The rooms are nice and clean. The family who owns/runs the place is very nice and very accommodating. I had some minor problems (no hand towel one day and similar) and they fixed things immediately and with a smile. The breakfast is good, with a selection of cereals, breads, cold meats, cheeses, and eggs and omelets to order. The rooms... More

The family room was decent, except the toilet that was blocked for two days en the rate was excessively high!! The single rooms were a joke, at 2 x 2 meters in size for USD180 a night!! The most expensive rooms in Angola!!!! The single rooms are to close to the kitchen and the smells were unbearable!! The communal bathrooms... More
