One has to review this hotel with a real sense of perspective. Yes, she is beginning to show her age in places and yes, perhaps a few things could be improved; however given the difficulties the country is finding itself in at the moment, the standards of food, service and finish at the Vic Falls Hotel are truly extraordinary and... more

This was our second trip to the Falls, Zimbabwean side. We stayed in a different hotel last time with our two sons and we had an amazing holiday and we vowed we would return to Vic Falls for a very special occasion in the future. My husband and I returned in May to celebrate my 50th birthday at this Hotel... more

My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel in this awesome location, we normally stay on the Zambia side of the falls in one of the lodges but this time around we decided to stay on the Zimbabwe side at this old colonial hotel. It is certainly an excellent hotel with helpful and friendly staff of which many... more

We recently stayed 2 nights at Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe and had a fantastic stay had it not been for those dreadful noisy machines constantly flying over the hotel and the falls. They call it Flight of Angels, and it might be that for the people in the helicopter but for everyone else it's hell! The noise is loud,... more

This was a stop-over whilst touring around the African continent ... basically we stopped just to see the Falls. I totally agree with the reviews of the 22 March and 14 Feb....very honest and true refelections of Vic Falls Hotel. We stayed for the 2 nights ourselves ...which was enough. VF Hotel was pretty empty and everyone was there for... more

An excellent hotel with excellent staff. One of the few hotels in the world that still does things properly (or tries to, under current circumstances). Takes you back to the age when travel was a real privilege. This hotel is for those who are able to appreciate history, and want to experience something from a different age. Reminds me of... more

We stayed here for one night after a safari in Botswana in order to see the Falls on the way back to the USA. Visiting the area is very depressing as the people are really desperate (and this region is probably a lot better off than most other parts of the country). On the day we arrived, about 100 people... more

I spent three nights at this hotel and it was not enough. The location is spectacular. You can see the mist of the falls from the back porch and garden. Yes, Zimbabwe is in turmoil now...but the people are hopeful and resilient. Tourism is just about their only source of income and avoiding this incredible, beautiful location is only adding... more

I was with an international group of lawyers who walked across the border fromZambia to visit the falls. The hotel is beautiful, everything in the public rooms is in the best possible taste and the staff are charming and gentle. However we could not imagine how anyone could enjoy staying here. The deprivation and suffering just outside the gates is... more

Anybody who goes to Southern Africa should make a stop at Victoria Falls. It's really spectacular. When visiting the falls, stay on the Zimbabwe side as opposed to the Zambia side because the view is that much better. Of the hotels on the Zim side, the Victoria Falls Hotel is the place to stay. That being said, I'm not sure... more
