We stayed here for just one night and enjoyed the atmosphere and meeting other travelers. There's a very small pool which is just enough to cool off after a long day in the Zambia sun. The kitchen gets a bit busy but we had the braai which was wonderful. And it was followed by a troupe of local dancers -... More

My partner and I stayed in a twin room (the Tortoise) at VF Backpackers for two nights in January-February. Having had no issues on the first night, we each awoke after the second with hundreds of small, itchy insect bites from our feet all the way up to our lower backs. We had nothing but a few mosquito bites before... More

We stayed at Shoestrings and Victoria Falls Backpackers and much preferred Victoria Falls backpackers. It was much much cleaner, much easier to sleep and much more relaxed! It is a little farther away than Shoestrings though.

I stayed 3 nights in the Victoria Falls Backpackers and overall had a good time. The outdoor area is colorful and wonderful, there are a lot of places to sit and chat with other travellers or just rest after a long day. But you should be aware of some things: * The hostel accepts cash only. I didn't realize that... More

The hostel is located about 30 min walk from the town center. And it's a bit remote. The rooms were not bad, but they didn't have any door on the bathrooms! The staff at the reception was helpful but he recommended taking a safari tour with Stanley & Livingstone company, which turned out to be the worst tour ever! I'm... More

Victoria falls backpackers is on Gibson road. 15 mins walk from the centre. This is a cosy cool place to be if you are in a group & are interested in staying in decent place with your friends, I would recommend this place. They have great services, clean rooms and you could also get a really nice massage after a... More

This quaint hostel is located close enough to Vic Falls town that you can walk to but far away enough to avoid the loud and rowdy backpackers. The facilities are great, the room small but adequate and the pool refreshing. The staff are very helpful and often get you good deals on activities. Wifi is USD $3/day. Would recommend this... Inconvenient location but the good thing is that the hostel can organize taxi for a reasonable prize. Around 2-3USD. I chose Victoria Falls Backpackers due to it's high rating and good reviews. It does lives up to it's good reputation. One of my favorite hostels so far. The staff here are amazing. Very nice garden. The common are is decorated... More

This place has a great atmosphere with a good diversity of different people. The food is good, good priced alcohol, and accommodation is ok. However, there will be mozzies in your room so cover up as best you can

The hostel was great. The kitchen area had all the necessities to make a meal. The pool area is sweet as a place to hang out or cool off. There's a lounge with a tv and a bunch of books and magazines too, which is nice. Our room was basic, but very very clean and perfectly adequate. The best part... More
