The service is bad. Checked into this hotel ordered some food and the food only came after 1 hour & 30 minutes of waiting, The meat I had ordered was beef but it didn't taste like it so requested to speak to the chef only for the chef to tell me that the meat was off. Totally unacceptable for a... More

Meeting facilities and rooms outstanding for this part of the world. All indications are that in its day this was quite an amazing place. Still not bad, but it hasn't been kept up. Good breakfast but overall the food was disappointing. Not quite western but not quite African either. If food were better this would be a very good place.

This was the former Sheraton, but now I think it keeps on running because of its political affiliations. The surrounds and hotel requires a serious upkeep (ok the grass was green and lush but I think that has to do with the Zimbabwean climate more than anything) The coffee shop is of a seriouly low standard - the coffee was... First thing I had to do was to go and ask for new bedding as my room was not cleaned before I was checked in - and reception seemed to accept this fact resignedly and without the smallest of apologies! The rooms are definitely from a bygone area, but (after the initial scare) fairly tidy. Definitely the slowest lifts I've... More

I will only go back to this hotel when they realise that their prefixing every greeting with "refreshing" does not make feel refreshed when the rooms are dirty, the shower does not work, service is bad and back rooms look like a dump site.

I am always intrigued by the Star rating of hotels. Clearly the African scale is different to America and Europe and even South Africa. This may be 5 stars in Zimbabwe but not in most of the rest of the world. It is huge, ?? but there are so many areas that let it down. Good points - 1 -... More

Stayed here on Valentine's day. Thought my experience was bad because I found myself in a suit and in a service lift because the elevators werent working. Little did I know the experience could get worse. Checked in on the 27th of May 2015. Due to a power cut i spent the night in darkness, had to take a cold... More

We spent two nights at Rainbow Towers and it provided us with much needed rest. The staff were very courteous and welcoming. Food was good and rooms were clean. One small thing but requires attention is the absence of soap holder in the shower of the room we stayed. If you are in Harare try Rainbow Towers.

Few hotels have the capacity to charm you with smiles and greetings on one hand, and anger you with inefficiencies on the other. The architecture and layout look grand enough, but try entering your room without having the electronic key activated every single day. I had to change my room half way through my stay because the door would not... More
