A quiet and very friendly lodge sitting in a private garden with pool and retreat facilities. Breakfast featuring "classic English breakfast" or other alternatives cooked to order. Set 3 course dinner. Courtesy bar in what feels like a private living room with a cosy fireplace. The Lodge sits in a quiet residential road some 10 minutes walk away from the... More

Dear Thomas, Thank you for writing a review on Armadale. We are so happy that you felt at home - this is wonderful. Next time you are in Harare you must use our driver into town - the traffic is busy at certain times especially early morning/late evening. We look forward to your next visit ! More

Armadale is home from home. Clean, spacious rooms; lovely pool and communal areas and great personal service. Rooms are good size, well served and with comfy beds. The decor is slightly dark/dated. The gardens are fabulous. Food was OK, and breakfasts anything we wanted. My husband likes chillis in his omlette - no problem sir! If you want a more... More

Dear aquillegia Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Armadale was a 1904 farmhouse which was converted into a historic lodge and has been decorated accordingly. The colours are earthy - reds, dark chocolate, French chateau, and dove grey with a wonderful back drop of the... More

We stayed at Armadale whilst on holiday in Zim for a family wedding. I am from Zim but have lived abroad for many years, returning regularly for business and family visits. All I can say is that I don't know why I haven't discovered this gem previously! Beautifully appointed rooms, all modern conveniences once would expect anywhere, but the real... More

I stayed at Armadale for a business trip. This was my first time in Zim and didn't know what to expect. I have never gone on a work trip and felt that I didn't want to go home and it was down to the incredible team at Armadale for that. This place feels like home and every member of staff... More

Stayed one night there this month after long hard travel. Could not say enough how friendly and warm staff was. The room was quiet, clean and inviting. The grounds were impeccable, decorations and settings thoughtfully designed to reflect African cultures. Food was great, and I would have absolutely no hesitations in returning. You won't go wrong here. Travel would be... More

We spent one night at the Armadale Lodge in Harare after 10 nights in safari camps. It was a wonderful place to reorient oneself to the "real" world! Formerly a farm house, the lodge has all the amenities but still retains its authentic character. The rooms all seem to be different in character and in their configuration. We had one... More

Our stay at Armadale lodge was lovely. We loved everything about it. The outside gardens were beautiful and peaceful. The rooms, each different, were very comfortable. The common areas also very comfortable, our favorite sitting by the fireplace with a nice glass of wine chatting with old friends and new. The staff was great. The manager Ray along with the... Since it's a boutique hotel each room is different in size and feel. Our main room had the bed and a small dining table, and we had a full kitchen, and a bathroom. As comfortable as that was the real beauty is the farmhouse. Many rooms, all open and inviting. The full breakfast was wonderful. They will prepare lunch and... More
