I stayed in this hotel just for 1 night, included in a package that contained a circuit to the south of Tunisia and a beach stay in Yasmine Hammamet. I consider it a good hotel for 1 night before starting a circuit through Tunisia. In a leisure trip I don't see the reason why you should stay more than 1... more

I stayed only one night, and found it a pleasant place to be for the night. The room was big enough and airy, and clean (albeit not overly so). A safe was present in the room, and I did have (free and fast) Internet connection. Staff during my stay was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not very nice though -... more

Well, this will be a mixed review because there were some good points and it was certainly not a horrible hotel. The hotel itself is a star, except it really should be 3 as it is in need up updating and plenty of repairs. Our room was big and you could see that at one point it was probably very... more

I actually was expecting much worse. Yes the rooms are a little aged ( its a 70s hotel) but for the money it was not bad, The food was ok, the location is nice and the staff were pretty friendly. There were a few issues with the room but all and all I actually having been to Tunisia 3 times... more

Toilet leaking onto bathroom floor, very dusty everywhere, wooden panels falling off, sockets falling out of walls, lights not working. When shower was first turned on pipes groaned loudly followed by a stream of rusty brown water which took 10 minutes to clear. Basically it seemed that the room hadn't been used or cleaned for several months prior to our... more

This was a strange experience. I stayed for nine nights and had the full range of experiences, from kind and helpful desk clerks to those who yelled at me to call the airport myself (I had, like about half the guests there, lost my luggage and had to taxi back to the airport at my own expense to retrieve it.)... more

Le Diplomat in Tunis is a bit far from the medina, and requires a slightly uncomfortable walk through a pretty colorful part of Tunis to get to the main section. A cab ride to the medine is about 1TD, so the location, while not perfect, isn't terrible. The decor is reminiscent of the 70's - yellows and golds, but the... more
