We turned up and they didn't have our booking and the hotel was full. Then they found us a room, but it turned out to be a single. Then they found us another room, which was a double, but not looking too hot. Finally they offered us a 3rd room which was bearable. Amusingly enough the receptionist had no clue... more

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our safari. The lodge is very worn and outdated. Bed linen and matresses could really do with being changed - our bed was pretty uncomfortable! The food was average - the buffet menu rarely changed and food looked tired and not well thought out at all. The bar was nice and... more

I had read some very bad reviews about this place and I got there a little bit worried. I must say I had a great time there. Located in the Serengeti, it gives you quick access to your game drives. The room was clean and I did not see any insects in it (although I was told in the dry... more

We arrived here on the first day of our safari. The furnishings were OK but the rooms in general were showing their age. The service was good though and they had these cute "Hyraxes" running aroung who were absolutely adorable. The view from the pool deck over the Serengeti was amazing and the lounge, bar and dining were all nice.... more

We stayed here for two nights and it was the worst place we stayed at during our trip. We started off in room No 59 which was on the ground floor on the corner. When we first got into the room we were relatively happy with the furnishings and the room was clean, the problems started when we went to... more

This lodge has a great location but it is showing its age. The beds dearly need updating and the linens are a bit thread worn. The basic design of the hotel means that it can be very noisy. The food is very basic and of mediocre quality. The buffet is badly laid out and the food lines can be very... more

I would strongly advise anybody considering staying here or at the sister hotel at the Ngorongoro Crater to find out whether building and renovation work will be going on during their stay. My boyfriend and I stayed in December 08 and were driven mad by the noise of circular saws cutting through metal, hammering, sanding etc from around 7am until... more

RANGASWAMY MURUGESH . Stayed for 3 nights from 07/11/2008 . my god what a classical place on earth is it , you have to really experience it to believe it . A pair of eyes is not enough to see the beauty of wildlife and nature at Serengeti . seronera wildlife lodge is located in beautiful soundings with huge boulders... more

OK, they have power cuts and hot water is not always available. But from here you have so short drive to see ALL the wildlife! And you get good food, decent bar with a great sunset, good beds and irregulary some hot water. Really, our only dislike was the horrible, noisy band playing Italian (?!?) music, interfering our dinners. That... more

Excellent location and views. Construction work being done, so we had to contend with paint fumes coming in through our bathroom vent, and navigating ladders and workmen every time we left our room. Better service and food than Lobo Lodge, which is run by the same company. Marginally better rooms, although the walls are paper thin and very basic (but... more
