the camp was lovely, very large tents and japanese style sliding doors.......our hosts were gracious and accomodating, as well as our guide/driver; food was interesting and delicious; a few improvements.........when our host said they would pack us a lunch for our travel...they should have; if our hosts sits and eats with some guests, they should sit and eat with all... more

we had a great 3 night stay at sayari. It is a luxury camp and whilst billed as a tented camp, in reality its more like a lodge - each tent is huge and has a hardwood floor and deck and sliding "asian-style" entrance doors and screene between the bathroom area and bedroom. each tent has a bath as well... more

My wife and went to the Serengeti for our honeymoon. We stayed three nights at Sayari and wished we could have stayed longer! Julie, the manager and her staff were great. Very accomodating and also good fun to chat with. Our guide, Prim, showed himself to be very skilled on the drives and we saw lots of animals. The "breakfast... more

We stayed at Sayari in Sept. 2009. Being the only permanent tented camp (15 tents) in the North Serengeti, it is unique, isolated, one of a kind--it is a magical place. The decor of the common areas as well as the tents was exactly what we are looking for. Clearly African but w/ modern, clean touches. If you're looking for... more

Now that the camp is a permanent site the standard of accomodation and service is quite outstanding. You live in luxury in a location virtually totally isolated from other lodges. Nothing can compare with your first excursion onto the Serengeti plains with wonderful views over to the Masai Mara. We saw the wildebeest migration and it was truly spectacular. We... more

I wrote about our fantastic trip in TZ related to Green Footprint Adventures (Planet Africa Safaris now) and I promised some pictures of Sayari and Suyan camp, where we spent 2-2 nights. We had so nice staying and such a great holiday, that we decided to go with them again this winter, but perhaps somewhere else, to explore more... Going... more

The recently moved/rebuilt Sayari Camp gets all the big things spot on. The food was good, the tents are top-notch (with plenty of hot water now), the guides (Albert in particular) are spectacular, and the location is probably the best there is. Now the little things that have room for improvement: private safaris (esp for a honeymooning couple) should be... more

My wife, 19 year old daughter and I arrived at Sayari for 3 nights/4 days after spending a few days at the Serena Lodge in Ngorongoro and at Mbuzi Mawe in the central Serengeti. We thought that being as isolated as we were in the northern Serengeti it would be difficult to improve on our previous stays at the Serena... more

Sayari is right out of the way and is a magnificent camp for seeing the migration across the Mara river - the guides made damn sure that you got to see what you went there for, and had a zero-tolerance to people leaving ithout seeing the wildebeest crossing the river, as well they should, since it was amazing. The camp... more
