Nice spacious very clean room with balcony, view of the Serengeti, comfy beds with mosquito nets, nice bathroom. Food: breakfast was just ok, some dry breads, lunch was just ok too (limited choice from lunch menu), dinner was quite good though, enough choice and most of it well cooked and good taste. Great staff. Cold pool. Slow wifi, free in... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as part of our Safari package. While we did lose out a little on the whole Serengeti experience by not camping (my wife didn't fancy camping on our honeymoon) it was great to come back to the luxury of a hot shower, a clean comfortable bed good food and a few... What an anticlimax! A stunning day spent in the Serengeti after spending the night at the beautiful ngororo farmhouse lodge, driving past zebra, trying to outstrip tsete flies to drive up to this crumbling neglected hotel well past its sell by date. The welcome was lovely, the room not. Old stained covers, carpets and curtains along with a hot room... More

The hotel is located well withing the park, It is very nicely decorated and the staff is very friendly. Rooms a specious well equipped. Only downsides like all Sopa hotels 1. Power is turned off at night for ~3 hours 2. Hot water available only for ~3 hours in the afternoon.

I never expected to stay in a place this luxurious and this comfortable in the middle of the Serengeti. Good food with happy and helpful staff. All rooms have views over the Serengeti, so you can sit on your balcony and watch the animals. Watch the baboons on the balconies as they have learnt to open the balcony doors. Too... More

Although slightly below the standard of the other Sopa lodges it was a lot higher than some reviews led us to expect; it covered everything we needed in a superb setting. Being escorted by guards back to our room at night watching elephants eating the garden by torchlight was a highlight of our trip. The game viewing in the park... More

We spent three nights in the Lodge end of May. Despite low season, the place was fully booked. The lodge is ok, a bit old fashioned. Good view but very big. Our waiter was a bit annoying because he wanted so much attention. Because it was so crowded, we decided to leave early in the morning and have breakfast on... More

I did some research before coming here and I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much from this lodge but it proved to be better than expected. Big rooms, nice views, hot water in the shower after a dusty day, good food, nice and helpful staff. But if you are planning to spend all your safari in the... More

The Serengeti national park is one of the wonders of the world if you haven't been you must go at least once in your life , the Sopa lodge is the most accommodating lodges that I ever stayed , the service was first class all the way . I highly recommend the hot air balloon ride , breathe taking .... More

We stayed at the Serengeti Sopa lodge for 3 nights. I've not stayed in a lodge before where there were so many people. This was a totally different experience for me. The room was lovely and clean with a foyer, huge bathroom, shower rating ****, very comfortable beds with mozzie netting though the pillows were too soft for me, and... More
