First, when on a safari, don't expect to spend a lot of time visiting at the lodge. All day on the drives, check-in, shower, dinner, sleeping, next morning early breakfast, and yes, another early drive. Wonderful . Set upon a high ridge overlooking the Serengeti National Park was wonderful. Arrived after dark, 6:15pm, to get checked in, showered, and time... More

Sopa Lodge is the home to many thousands of wild and rare animals as it lies within an area of out-standing natural beauty. The Lodge has a swimming pool. The lodge has direct-dial satelite telephone facilities as well as satellite television and wildlife-video-film options.Very good services and workers...very beautiful surroundings with very good restaurant.

I recently led a group of my clients on a safari. Needless to say, I'm always a bit nervous about the lodges that are selected for my trips. There is nothing worse as a group leader than checking in to a "marginal" property. So I was pleased to feel very welcomed and right at home when my group arrived at... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of a week long safari, and of the 3 hotels/lodges we stayed in, this was by far the nicest. We had an enormous suite with balconies overlooking the Serengeti, the hotel and the decor was lovely and the staff was so happy and friendly, they created the most welcoming atmosphere. The staff... We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of February. Of all the places we stayed this was one of the most welcoming, primarily because of the restaurant staff. Our server, Martin took very good care of us, Charles the restaurant manger came over at each meal to see how we were. On our last evening we received a... More

Wonderful facilities, excellent food, and incomparable service. Be aware that, like other three hotels we experienced in the national parks, hot water in the rooms was only available for 3 hours in the morning and 3 at night. This was not a problem since we were not in the roms most of the remainder of the day.

A warm welcome at the end of a long day. The rooms were large and characterful with wonderful views out over the trees. Two of our four rooms were upgraded to a two floored suite. The staff were very friendly as everywhere we experienced in Tanzania. The buffet food was good with a large selection.

We had just come from a tented camp and had loved living among the animals and the sounds and intrigue they provided. Now we were at a hotel and it took us a while to get into the luxury mode provided. The hotel was beautiful, the gift shop bountiful, and the food, delicious. Due to the distance from our game... I was here for 4 nights in January 2014. I was accommodated in one of their honeymoon suites on the first floor. It had a huge bedroom with a bathtub from which you had the view over the terrace, big bathroom and on the ground floor in had a small kitchen. The furniture was a little, but practical. In the...
