We stayed at the Sopa as part of our tour with Simba Safaris. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The food was good. The rooms were nice. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The setting is perfect. I would return without a doubt. more

It did not disappoint as a lodge - not everything is perfectly new, but staff was outstanding, very friendly, very helpful, and not quite as pushy on getting a tip as others (nice for a change). We also liked the food. Rooms are nice, even though not thrilling. But, beware (strangely, this was true for all SOPA Lodges): When the... more

EXCELLENT service- the staff were so unbelievably friendly, welcoming- my family stayed for a week and the food was nice, beautiful pool, gym, spacey rooms, perfect! Get a lunchbox so you don't have to come back for lunch- we watched a lion attack whilst eating lunch by a water hole- v special!! I've read a couple of reviews stating that... more

Stayed for one night between mobil camping. I had a two floor suite on the end that was quite impressive. The shower didn't drain and you only have hot water after 6 PM. The fabulous part was watching a giraffe eating the acacia tree outside my window at midnight, by moonlight. His head was 2 yards away from me. It... more

Serenegti Sopa Lodge has excellent location with good surroundings. Hotel staff is also good and freindly. However rooms i feel is not so upto the mark of a 4 star htl. Stayed for one night in July. The worst Sopa we stayed at, but a fantastic location. Beds were very uncomfortable, shower barely worked (and you will be absolutely covered in dirt after your game drives here!), and the food was almost inedible. Saw some antelope from our balcony around dusk, but that was it for animals from the lodge. The... more

As I entered my hotel room for the first time, I was greeted by a herd of about 15 elephants about 50 feet in front of my room's balcony. I felt as though I was living inside of a travel brochure. This was my experience at pretty much all of the Sopa Lodges I've stayed at. For the safety of... more

When I arrived to the Serengeti Sopa Lodge I was a little bit shocked by the facade of the building, which seemed very old. However, my initial reaction just got reversed once I was in. The views from the terrace in front of the Lodge and from the bedrooms are simply stunning. The Serengeti stretches out in front of you... more

We stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon, and were treated to a lovely suite, set out over 2 floors, with 2 balconies overlooking the Serengeti, a large bath in the bedroom, double sink and showers - it was really something! The evening meal was delicious, as was the Serengeti beer! Service was excellent, and in the evening you... more

We had traveled from the Sopa Lodge at Ngorongoro Crater so we had high expectations for this Sopa Lodge. I'd say it wasn't quite as nice as the other lodge, but it was still very nice accommodations. The view from our room looked over the Serengeti Plains which really isn't that much of a sight unless you are in the... more
