Enjoyed a 3 nite stay in early May. Last stayed here in 2007. Amenities typical of the Serena chain. Had #57 the lower half of one of the rondawels towards the entrance road. Typical of trying to plan lodging to be in a good location to center on the wildebeest migration months ahead of time, upon arrival I was “antsy”... More

Very nice stay here - my favourite out of all the lodges we stayed in. The views from the room were beautiful and we even saw elephants and giraffes one evening in the distance. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and welcome. Food was very nice and the restaurant was very comfortable. Unfortunately... More

This is an amazingly beautiful place to go, I recommend it to any one who is going there as a first time trip because it has an excellent location and some very kind and polite staff. I found that this vas a very family friendly place to go, but there was one thing which scared me, which was that you... More

It was an excellent choice! We stayed two nights and it was amazing! The staff was very friendly, the room was very nice. They ask you to request a guard to escort you to dinner in case wild animals appears. That was the case in our first night! A few minutes before our call, people in the dining room saw... More

The Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge is a unique hotel, the rooms are small cabins and separate. Every room have a nice balcony where you can see the beautiful landscape. At night time you can hear the lions from the Serengeti, and if you have luck you can see some small animals outside your room.

A wonderful hotel with great service and food. Our room was delightful with a balcony and how lovely to see the sun go down as a group of Impala grazed in the grounds right in front of you, It is interesting to have to request a guard to take you to the hotel for dinner just in case wild animals... Visited there before several times and this, as most other lodges in the Serengeti appears to suffer for lack of updates/maintenance. The two story bungalows face a valley where in the past, you had a wonderful view of the plains, but as time has passed, the acacia trees have grown and the view is obstructed. Still at night, one is... More

I'll be straight. Any resort in the Serengeti has a Tripadvisor 1 star premium automatically due to where it is, but I am rating this place outside of that context. If it wasn't for the truly stunning views from this resort, I would be considering giving this 2 out of 5. I am a sucker for wildlife, so the dik... More

The staff is truly personable and show great hospitality. The setting in the Serengeti is awesome. The food is very good with African influences. Like many properties maintenance is an issue. Rustic is fine, but when it gets dangerous it is time to replace irregular and rotten steps (shown in photo).
