My family and I stayed for two nights in January. The "lodge" is situated in the northern part of the Central Serengeti. Meaning one has easy access to the central part of Serengeti i.e. Seronera, as well as the Northern Serengeti like the Lobo area. It will take one about 45minutes to either side of the park. This was precisely... More

This is a lovely unfenced tented camp on a rocky hill with a fabulous view over the Serengetti. We had a long drive from the Masai Mara and were feeling a little weary but on arrival our weariness disappeared with a cool drink and being shown our gorgeous tent. The lovely guard who walked us up to the dining tent... More

This is an awesome tent camp environment, inside the rooms are clean and excellent. Service and food was great and hosts were very polite and friendly. The animals roam around pretty close to the tents and they do advise people not to go out after 7pm with an escort from "askari" (security). We stayed one night and that night there... More

Went there for two nights It was just perfect, staff is friendly and smiling, dinners were the best we had while inside the parks and the tents are magical, I woke up watching Impalas playing next to the tent. This was booked for us by Rose at SWALA tours exactly as we requested and I can't imagine a better driver... More

This is a very good tented camp in the middle of Serengeti. The tents are spacious and well equipped and the food and service is perfect. We went on balloonsafari from here and was picked up at 4:30 in the morning.

We stayed in three lodges and this was our favourite. The large individual tents where both cavernous and well appointed. Glamping is more of trick to cosset you in luxury while pretending you are roughing under canvas. I can assure you there are few in any compromises you need to make if you stay here, the main on being the... More

My husband and I and three friends just returned from a 10-day safari in Tanzania, and we all agreed the Mbuzi Mawe tent camp was the best of our four stays. Surprisingly spacious and elegant, each tent boasts two queen-sized beds and a spacious bath area, complete with hair dryer, soft towels and fluffy bathrobes. Just what you need at... More

Stayed 2 nights in Mbuzi with my husband as part of the northern circuit safari. We were very glad to have chosen this place after looking at many options in the Serengeti area. Pluses: very comfortable and luxurious tents with all the amenities of a fine hotel; 2 queen beds with mosquito nets, WIFI in the tents, good quality food... More

A nice camp. Our tent was nice and spacious. Lots of buffalos and monkeys right outside. The main lodge had a nice bar, seating area and outside patio. Good gift shop. Food was okay. Nice dining room. While service was good, I found the staff was a bit reserved and not very friendly. Although a leopard lived in the rocks... More

Tented camp, August 2014. Very comfortable large tents, . Staff very friendly. Food decent and plentiful. Cliff springer ( deer for whom the camp is named) playing around on the rocks. Were told to call for security before leaving the tents at night. We were arguing one morning whether the animal we heard moving and lowing outside in the middle... More
