Tented camp, August 2014. Very comfortable large tents, . Staff very friendly. Food decent and plentiful. Cliff springer ( deer for whom the camp is named) playing around on the rocks. Were told to call for security before leaving the tents at night. We were arguing one morning whether the animal we heard moving and lowing outside in the middle... More

Great way to experience the Serengeti without sacrificing luxury. The tent had 2 queen beds, shower and toilets. Staff were so friendly and even remembered our names during meal times. The food was excellent! I highly recommend this place!

A lovely oasis after a long day wandering the dusty plains! Had a fantastic two nights here in August 2013! What a peaceful place. The food was superb! The rooms spacious and very comfortable. Loved the feeling of truly being in the midst of nature with the animals paying a visit during the night! Interesting feeling knowing that an elephant... More

THE CAMP MAY LOOK SMALL FROM OUTSIDE BUT ITS SO COOL AND VERY MUCH OF THE AFRICA SET-UP. IN serengeti between the big rocks which are just like small hills, here on this rock you will see the Advack animals on top on the rocks whole day and when the sun is really sunshine.

Most fellow travellers have written long lovely reviews so nothing more to share except a big thumbs Up. Serena has got it right at Mbuzi Mawe. We had a choice between Serena Serengeti and MM and we chose the latter with absolutely no regrets. Great establishment with good service. A few points to remember: Tea coffee is served in the... Fabulous accommodation. 6 star in the middle of Serengeti. Very luxurious, two king size poster beds in each room, attached bath and toilet, including Wifi facilities. Attractive reception and dinning areas. Food and staff were excellent. No fencing to protect the tents so give the feeling of being in the wild, animals can walk in, tents are however well guarded,... More

So after long day of game rides, all covered in dust, you come back to "kopjes", to your luxury tent (I know, strange combination of words). And watch sunset in savana from your own terrace. Thomson gazelles playing, lazy buffalo lying in the grass. Grab whistle from the room in case some unexpected predators will decide to join you on... More

In Swahili Mbuzi Mawe is the name for the Klipspringer antelope. You'll see lots of them when you go on a game drive near the camp. These are some of the best permanently tented camps I've ever been. Thanks to African Horizons Safaris, we were able to get a booking here. We were booked then found out at the last... More

A truly amazing tented camp! The apartment was like a hotel room, a very luxurious hotel room but with canvas over the top rather than a roof! So you heard that fab zip sound when you locked up for the night! Staff so friendly and advised that you rand them to escort you to dinner as there are animals nearby... More

This is by far the most unique place I have ever stayed. We stayed in 4 different tented camps during our safari and this was by far the most adventurous. The tents are literally, out there in middle of the Serengeti with very little protection. There were cape buffalo grazing 100 yards away from our tent. It was truly unique,... More
