We had one night here when on Safari, we think our safari organiser got a cheap rate as there was no way we could afford the advertised price, and the place was half empty. Kirawira lived up to its billing as the Serena chain's most luxurious lodge. We stayed 2 nights in tent 5 (elephant) overlooking the Serengeti. We went for the wildebeest migration and saw many herds during our two days. We could even watch from our porch! The tent was large and well equipped. Good showers, huge bathsheets and plenty of storage space. The staff was very nice and attentive. They learn your name quickly.... more

It's technically a "tented" camp, but the tents have beautiful hardwood floors, and marble counter bathrooms... Lovely! Accommodations are beautiful, pool area had a fantastic view, and food was great. Our 8-year old daughter loved the dik-diks (tiny antelope) sleeping between the tents at night.
