Spent four nights here for our honeymoon back in February. Had such an incredible experience and could not imagine ever going back to the Serengeti and not staying here. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. James ran the camp and he did such a fantastic job taking care of our every need. My... More

We stayed at Alex Walker's Serian mobile camp. It was a true safari experience where guests are subject to limited water supply, i.e, bucket showers. Additionally, phones have weak receptions on the plain with no wifi available. Highlights: Each guest were assigned with private guide and spotter. Off road game driving, walking safari, and extremely friendly owner and management where... More

My wife and I finished our last 4 days of 10 in Africa at Alex Walker's camps. Because of the drought, the Wildebeest migration already was headed north from where our original camp was. Alex knew we really wanted to see this and suggested we move to another of his mobile camps north of where we were (at no additional... More

My husband and I had the honor of visiting both of Alex Walker's Tanzanian camps in the South West part of the Serengeti. What a pleasure to be there while the Wildebeest were all around us, even at night we could hear them calling to each other. They were birthing while we were there, as the rains had just barely... Four nights here established a standard by which we will henceforth judge other safari camps. A wonderful mix of unpretentious comfort and harmonious involvement in the environment. But the crowning glory is the presence of Alex Walker, evident in the way things are done, large and small, including the walking safari he led and the dinners at the communal table... More

We stayed at Serian Kakessio camp for 4 nights in February. Although this is a camp and safari experience the quality beats most hotels. The room/tent has everything you would expect and more. Flushing toilet, hot shower, electricity, charging points, and a really comfortable bed. It was a room with a view without equal. The service was excellent and the... More

Our stay at Serian Kekession exceeded expectations across the board. We arrived early afternoon and were immediately welcomed by Belinda and staff with a cold drink and towel to refresh ourselves. We were invited to join others for a late lunch while the staff whisked our luggage off to our very comfortable tent. While the camp felt relaxed and casual,... More

Alex Walker's Serian isn't just a name. Alex is on site, personally insuring that each of his guests has an experience of a lifetime. The tents are large and provide the comforts of home while also providing an amazing view of the Serengeti. Our guide, Masha, and spotter, Sum, were superb--professional, knowledgeable, determined and fun. The food was delicious, with... More

We arrived at Serian camp in the South of the Serengeti euphoric but slightly bedraggled after our 8 days climbing Kilimanjaro . Our guide had met us at the airstrip that morning and our five hour drive was spectacular; leopard, lion, cheetah and serval as well as a multitude of predatory birds. The camp consists of only six or seven beautifully equipped... More

We visited Serian Serengeti North during the last week of September as the third of three Serian Camps on our trip (Ngare Serian then Nkorombo-see other reviews). This was our sixth safari and second time visiting Tanzania We selected Serian because of the exclusive use vehicles, the great reputation for guiding, and for the chance to see river crossings at...
